Your lads won the U18s flag. They killed us in the elimination final and looked pretty good. Maybe 2015 will see some of those lads step up?blacky wrote:Be good to see Westies make someBen W wrote:Good to see South making an annoucement after some recent departures!

I hope so, cc.
Sam Durdin is a likely top 10 draft pick, but some of our best Under 18's in the finals were bottom-agers, amazingly.
I'd be looking to Snelling, Haysman and others to push for a League spot.
Have patience, blacky, announcements will come.

Turner was one that impressed me, Lee. At least at what I saw of him in the Prelim and Grand Final...

Yes, totally agree, Phil, good observation.
He was regularly tagged in the U18 finals, but hasn't been mentioned in draft discussions for some reason.

Very big loss for Sturt but glad to see Battersby is back. Anyone know much about this former Glenelg player Richard O'Grady that's mentioned as also signing? Bayman?

Clearly the loss of Tambling is major blow for Sturt. Added to the other departures already announced, we've lost nearly 800 games of experience. This is bound to make things difficult for 2015. But that's life. We certainly thank Richard for his contribution to our club and wish him all the best for the future.

''RICHO'' is a smart footballer but his leg speed is suspect & this was what stopped him getting a regular league game when we were one of the top teams, i believe West, Sturt & Glenelg all spoke to him but he decided on Sturt & off field he is a great person......could be another one or two Glenelg players heading for Sturt

He obviously doesn't look at this site - he's missed several outs for West.

Only that he was in the 2008 under 18 academy, at that time he was 191 cm tall and is now 24 years old, unable to ascertain what position he plays.

The grammatical errors in some of West's latest statements continue the fine SANFL tradition of illiteracy, W.
I have no problem with grammatical errors here and there, but some recent efforts have been cringeworthy.

Christian Howard returning to Glenelg, subject to whether or not he gets another AFL lifeline...
The Tigers also signed West Adelaide big man Tom Carter as well as small crumbing forward Lonnie Hampton from Albury...
Central were also chasing Lonnie, who played in the Ovens and Murray League with former Dogs B&F winner Brayden O'Hara...
