I can tell you now that West and Eagles supporters don't care what the crowd size is.

Could be 5 people there for all I care.

I can never understand the obsession with crowd numbers, especially on another site.

Do they want to ban sides with lower supporter numbers from the GF?

Facebook has been the worst for it! As a neutral, whilst I think the game deserves a decent crowd, I could care less about it. Just thankful we have the two best teams of the season competing.

It rarely happens, but if both teams play to their best it's an absolute 50/50 game.

WWT perhaps hold the greater consistency, but I think Westies best holds more potency. Fascinating matchup, best of luck to both teams and their sets of supporters.

Of course you don't, but I'm sure the SANFL and the clubs have an interest in a good crowd showing up.

It's the competitions centre piece, a poor crowd would detract from it,make no mistake. Having said that, I can see free tickets falling from the sky later this week...

If there's a poor crowd, I think ticket prices might have a lot to do with it and I agree about your prediction.

It is a good thing that 2 new sets of colours will be on the chimney.
Crowd numbers aside, it might give both clubs a bit of a membership push for next season and that can't hurt.

Whats the incentive for a neutral supporter to roll up ?
$30-$35 to attend[and perhaps a booking fee of about $6 +]
$10 + for a car park
$ For bus fares or petrol expense
Very expensive food pricing

I went to the WA V CD final
I bought the following

1 bottle of sprite
1 serve of calamari
1 Chiko Roll

Total cost about $17
The serve of crumbed Calamari ended up being Crumbed Onion Rings !

To eat , get a car park and entrance this week will cost about $60 +

My alternative is to stay home and watch the event on TV
And, have the $60 + on one of the teams with the Bookies !

Add in I think the 'Event Day' parking restrictions will be in force in North Adelaide on Sunday too, meaning finding a free car space anywhere near the ground will be a challenge.

Either way I'll be attending the game, and will try and bring a mate along to help with the attendance. The game deserves a decent crowd as it should be a cracking match.

History is against Woodville West Torrens beating West Adelaide
Neither Woodville, West Torrens or Woodville West Torrens have defeated West Adelaide in the history of SANFL Grand Finals !

A West Torrens side (merged with Port Adelaide) did defeat a West Adelaide side (merged with Glenelg) in the 1942 grand final of the WWII competition when 8 clubs became 4 for 3 seasons.

I've always admired Michael Godden, first at Westies and for his coaching since. Mark Mickan has always been a hero to me and my respect for his coaching grows all the time.

It's also strange how Mickan and Godden were together at Glenelg and now another ex-West and Glenelg plsyer and coach Jack Horan, is an assistant to Mark Mickan

lets add that at about the same time on Sunday the previous 'Evel Knievel' style of coach West had will be coaching Williamstown in the VFL grand final against Box Hill
