After 24 rounds, and 3 weeks of finals, we are down to the Grand Final. For the first time since 1999, we'll have two different sides in the Grand Final from 2011, with Norwood and West replacing Centrals and the Eagles.

Norwood have cruised through most of the season, doing what is necessary to win (bar 2 blips against North and West), but dismantled Westies in the 2nd Semi Final. West have been the fairytale story of the SANFL in 2012. Finishing last season outside the 5 after fading badly in the second half of the 2011 season, they have grinded and gritted their way through the season, and bar that blip in the 2nd Semi Final, have had a dominant finals series.

Will Norwood's limited game time (this is their second game in five weeks) as opposed to Westies 4 straight weeks of finals come in handy for West. Will Norwood repeat what they did 2 weeks ago and claim the premiership with an ultra-defensive game plan?

All will be revealed by about 6:00 Sunday night...

Good luck to the Legs. Cant see the game being played the same way as last time they met. A close one in my opinion.

We've kicked a total of 22 goals against Norwood in 4 games this year. My conclusion from that is that we need to try a different approach up forward which should include Ferguson, Nelson and Willits at different stages, something I don't think Norwood have faced against us much this year.

The bloods need to take the game on if they have any chance of winning

Ferguson, willits ( who played mostly forward yesterday) and Fisher must play close to goal this week.
Fisher didn't find the ball against North however most of was upn the ground and was basically ineffective.
He needs to kick goals if West are to win. He hasn't kicked a goal since the final against centrals which was the
1st week in the finals

But how much different might this game have been had Norwoods ruckman Big Bill Wedding been 100% fit ?

So West leads Norwood 3-1 in all Grand Finals , Norwood have not beaten the Flood and Tars for 90 years in the Grand Finals

It was a bit of an achievement for West to lead 3-1 after the 1961 Grand Final

You are right he did have a high number of possessions. I meant to say that he did find the ball on frequently however his possessions were mostly ineffective.

Brad Thomas is listed in the Norwood best players, I reckon he might be the son of Norwoods Keith Thomas
Toby is probably too talented to be playing Amateur League, would be worth a go at league Level as he will be 24 years old next football season

I see Andy Collins criticised ticket prices at $30 saying he'd like to see the gates thrown open and create a much larger crowd, which is a reasonable suggestion. In comes Mr Chandler suggesting that Collins coach West Adelaide and leave administration to the SANFL. That's the kind of arrogant response we've come to expect from football CEOs these days.

I have said this before but it is beond me why the SANFL dont play the Grand Final with a RED BALL (because it is unfair on teams who do not play with yellow balls on a regular basis EG. night games or twighlight. which i believe is an advantage to norwood more than west norwood play more night games than any other team.) i was at the game for at least 30-40 mins after the game witch is more than enough for the GF festivities to end in daylight (if not turn the lights on minimum) (witch wont need to happen anyway) if it is a problem with the earlier game's

i do know that but a still think that with the availiable light the whole finals series should be played with a Red Ball

but the red ball can still be used during the finals series there is enough light
