I have missed something. What clubs have had their salary cap reduced and why?

It's a rumour posted on the previous page.

To differing degrees, the "haves and have nots" situation has always existed.

Sorry Mate but you talk dribble at times . The merged Eagles go a huge leg up due to both clubs being non financial. That has provided the two merged clubs being very successful since they merged. Is their lack of the ultimate prize due to money ? They lost another GF and this time to a club that nearly folded only 3-4 years ago. Those clubs you mentioned are the same that have the largest following (not Port now) so maybe players wanted success and to play in front of bigger crowds ?

There is a salary cap . Go through who has been found of breaking the cap and re think your post.

Well that was a very hard on me post . Firstly i am not aware of my dribble but thats a health issue due to my injury , I will apologize for posting . any issues let admin tell me and i will stop being on here .
For your info decades ago the Eagles were caught going over and after that they didnt go over . If they have gone over since it has not been told to members of the public .
And now dribble sorry when other fans from other footy clubs complain it is always raised about the merger .
A two struggling clubs merged
B before Woodville came in they were in the West Torrens zone
c none of those players now play SANFL
d it could be said what was lost was found again.
Now 2015 Eagles lost thats gone due to my injury so i cant say much i was there but had to look up the game after 31 days in the RAH and hampstead .
However 2016 again i was there like 2015 but i recall the game totally.
you can say what you like Eagles lost werent good enough .

Salary Cap if the Eagles were over theres nothing to say they were at this stage .
Theres rumours on here of clubs losing 50 percent i havent seen who yet .

So if thats dribble i apologize but you seem to have issues with the Eagles .
not sure why .

there is nothing on the SANFL home page about clubs cutting their caps.
I did ask on fans of the sanfl on facebook
All i could find out its not the eagles .

So while i dribble away seems some one looking at the eagles cutting their cap is not correct . go figure .

after all that dribble i cant find out who is being cut yet

micky, it's a tough financial environment for SANFL clubs right now. The SANFL is doing quite a lot to help some clubs, but it would be fair to think they would want some expenditure control in return.

Nobody knows, but it would be fair to think from what's been said on forums and the lack of recruiting by some clubs, that some clubs might be on a reduced salary cap.

FWIW, I think the salary cap will be reduced next year across the board, but that's in the future.

thanks Lee but it doesnt really concern me im just a member of a club and fan .
I decided rather than post one team ive heard about after posting on fans of the SANFL id wait for the league to annouce it .

The poster going off at me was stating its the Eagles they have according to him breached the cap . i knew about decades ago but nothing since then .
If the league cuts the Cap so be it .
If clubs have breached the cap they will announce it by they i mean the SANFL
if the money isnt there the SANFL will make the decisions

No clubs have breached the cap that I know of. Certainly none have been announced.

What ive been reading whats been spoken about is the clubs involved if their cash in reserve is less than their debts .
The clubs cap will be cut .
Now ive seen the name for one club mentioned not Eagles or West but i wont post that name .

Lee, if the salary cap is reduced next year across the board at SANFL level, does this include all clubs in the comp. as it should or just 8 of them.

I don't think any decision has been made, but I'd think it would be across the board if brought in.

It's only my thoughts.

Other clubs have had the cap reduced and now are thriving so to reduce it across the league is not only unfair but also will weaken the competition.

I keep saying it ...............some clubs have small supporter bases which does not help. Eagles, South and West.

I hope it isn't a decision made , I think it should be increased .
