Delisted players originally from one SANFL club returning to play for another SANFL club attract a transfer fee of $25,000.
Therefore, only 2 or 3 clubs would be able to manage that.

John Butcher might play at Oval Avenue once in 2017.
The delisted player referred to hasn't played much footy for a while.

you may be right about Butcher or wrong no clue
Which delisted player hasn't played much footy and which AFL and SANFL clubs are you saying he played for .
Cause there might be two delisted players that one SANFL club has spoken to or so the rumours say (not butcher in this sentence )
There's at least one fan forum from way out north worried that Butcher has been talking to the Eagles and his old Port coach may take him down south .

Correct, but sounds like he is signing with Central, subject to being re-drafted...

Interesting signing with Centrals ive heard of two or three delisted AFL players being spoken to by sanfl clubs not always the one they played for .
Any name or names of the one you think will sign with Centrals unless you mean Butcher my mail on that name Eagles have spoken to him along with Centrals . and the Centrals fan forum are worried if the eagles dont get him South will .

Is there a change between picking up the pen and actually signing??? Has Oval Avenue become more attractive?

as Tom Jones' would sing ''it's not unusual'' for players or their managers to chat to several clubs to boost up any extra a club could find

Money may talk ive seen online fans from other clubs saying the Eagles Cap should be checked sabre rattling .
Meanwhile rumours going around a club that does not have yellow or gold or red or white that played finals have reached the salary cap for 2017 maybe a big name ex player that went to a lower club may not be back there thats the rumour .
And Reed has spoken to other clubs if he isnt or wasnt drafted

and my question still stands which former AFL player ?
Ive heard of a few not all going to the Eagles But if ETTG keeps saying former player which one ?
Cause Central fans were having a fit on their forum over other clubs talking to butcher .
How about a name ?
Ill guess first name Matthew wishing to return to the SANFL but might not be to his old SANFL club which may have already reached the 2017 cap

waddayamean wrote:Matthew Jaensch is possibly who you mean . Sturt have not recruited 1 player yet so unsure your reference to the salary cap is anywhere near accurate. As I think of it they are the only club who haven't breached it I think.
Well waddayamean I'm getting told that Sturt have reached the Cap for 2017 by more than one SANFL fan .
And the mail online is Jaensch wants back into the SANFL and the Cap will or should stop him being at Sturt ive been told that by a couple of people.
And Reed delisted Geelong player ex sturt junior . I have no idea anything about how he plays or what position he plays if not drafted wants back into the SANFL . Again Ive been told hes been to other SANFL teams .
Jaensch I have no idea who he has spoken to .
Reed Ive been told of one SANFL team he has spoken to and i saw who posted i havent heard he spoke to west .
Still waiting on names of ex afl players names going back to the SANFL but not their original teams no one has mentioned names .
Excluding
Butcher
Jaensch
Reed

Re: Rumour File
an amateur club has recently lost a substantial amount of money as it walked out & went on holidays
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
now without trying to upset my friend Lee, rumours were flying around at Globe Derby tonight about Westies'
rumour no 1....three people including at least two of them in high ranking roles are leaving the club by the end of the year
rumour no 2....sadly like a lot of clubs their finances are ''stuffed'' & there is some chance that those that were generous wont see their money again
rumour no 3...Adelaide Galvanising has signed on again to sponsor them
so any truth in these ?

Re: Rumour File
Happy to answer those, Bayman.
Not sure about 3, but 2 are leaving. No secret that John Kantilaftas has accepted another position, having steered West from a difficult situation to a relatively healthier one.
Richard Sykes is finishing his term as President. Richard was instrumental in our partnership with the Westies Wolfpack Unit Trust, which underwrites our finances far into the future. Richard has fulfilled what he set out to do when he took over at such a difficult time. His business takes him all over the world on a regular basis and he has put together a good Board to guide us in the future.
Both of these moves were announced to the members a while ago.
There's no 3rd person leaving that I know of.
We will appoint a first class CEO in due course.
As for our finances, see the statement on our website that we are financially sound. It is correct.
The rumours may have emanated from Michelangelo Rucci on radio. I'll leave it to you whether to believe him or me.
As for Adelaide Galvanising, yes, they have signed on again, as have City Mazda. They are both highly valued at Westies.
I'm extremely confident of our long-term future. There's a lot of work to do, but we'll do it.

Sorry, I should add that the Wolfpack members who put money in are in no danger whatsoever of losing a cent right now.
In fact, the WAFC has already bought back units in the Trust, which is also fully paid up and doing well.
