Re: Rumour File
If a ruckman from the "Western Bulldogs" was on the way to Centrals, I'd take a stab and say it could be Darcy Fort from Footscray.

As mentioned on October 8, this one (which has been hinted at in recent times) not far away.
The second one still in the works also.

I assume you're talking about Lewis Johnstone. It seems Sturt are the front runners at this stage

As mentioned earlier, the Lewis Johnston one likely to be this one, one would assume?
Hearing that it could be status quo with media broadcast next year so will be interested to hear / see more about this 'new media project' you have eluded to...
No doubt, eartotheground, time will tell

Question for Lee
The Bonanza Ponderosa was a TV setting in the 1860s
Who was the BIG name confederate General of the 1860s involved in the American Civil War ?

Do Central District still give players only a 12 month contract at a time?

Tough one, Scrappy, but I'm pretty sure the first two names are ROBERT E.
Can't think of his surname.

I must admit, I was thinking the same thing when I heard the Dogs, amongst a few, were chasing his services...brodlach wrote:Honestly don't think that the SANFL will miss him, not a player I rate
I expect Dallas Hill to have a break out year for Central next season and possible help solve their forward line woes...

More twists than Chubby Checker with this player
Will he now parade his talents in 2016 ?
Or have I made double blues ?

Mattner was at Sydney from 2008 through to 2013, playing wise...bayman wrote:was Lewis at Sydney when Marty Mattner was there ?
Lewis Johnston was at Sydney in 2011, so the answer to your question is.... YES
So, they might reunite at Unley, perhaps?

Re: Rumour File
I believe he was, but I can't see that influencing the decision. In the end I think it will come down to money. Both transfer fee and player payment, and I can't see Sturt trying to outbid Norwood, for a risky player who comes with some baggage. We got stung with Staple last year and frankly I'd rather see us give a young lad a chance. We've got some good sized juniors, and you don't know what they can do unless you give them a chance.bayman wrote:was Lewis at Sydney when Marty Mattner was there ?

Big Phil i hope im wrong but im always pessimistic about picking up good players from elsewhere as they seem to always not want to come to us

thanks, well there is a connection then, i haven't heard anything (apart from North giving him the dcm several weeks ago), so it'll depend on a few things including money etc but how those two got on could sway it one way or the other
