Re: Rumour File
Agreed, like NCAA College Football in the US does not have to compete with NFL games on a Saturday, it would be great if state and suburban leagues had a timeslot that was theirs.
Alas AFL broadcasting agreement starting next year has 5 games scheduled for Saturday, 1 around 2.10pm, 1 at 3.20pm, 1 twighlight & 2 night.
However at this point only the night game is guaranteed to be on Free To Air, Foxtel have the rights to onsell the 3.20pm one to a FTA network.

Re: Rumour File
I would think it unlikely that west or league would release any correspondance -- suspect league would release low key statement if they are professional.
Personally, biggest issue i had was players sitting around in open when hot and sweaty after a game and not in a position to treat properly injuries or strains.
To me this raises huge duty of care for employee (which players are) under state legislation for the league who by letting it happen in future now they are aware of potential safety issues are directly legally responsible and liable for charges under occy health safety legislation --- interseting

Could there be a mass exodus of senior player at one particular club after tomorrow afternoon's clash?

Probably . Just say it mate. Why the games ? It is an ego thing ?Otherwise why would you post it.
This is a rumour file so I am posting a rumour. It's not a fact file.
And yes, welcome back.
It's been a while.

Not sure the relevance to the topic but ok, seeing you brought it up, I will play along.
For others needing some background.
What Is Amateur Radio?
Agreed about the future of Amateur Radio , my Dad was very into Amateur Radio, President of WIA in SA during the mid 1970's. They had a HQ at West Thebarton, a couple of kicks from Thebbe Oval.
I agree with you, the magic of speaking direct with someone overseas via Amateur "Ham" Radio has sort of been lost now with emails, web streams, facetime and skype etc available without the need for equipment or a licence. Learning Morse Code is a bitch as well something I could never master to get a novice licence.
Very very handy to have in emergency situations however, first news of Cyclone Tracey knocking out Darwin in 1974 was via Amateur Radio.

Really?
I welcome you back, follow the tangent you introduced and agreed with you.
And yet I sense you are not happy

If he's alluding to some information that he has which he can't fully divulge, I'd rather he allude to it than not mention it at all.
