Re: SANFL FINALS
Given the low-scoring, dour history of recent West v Norwood games, would a West v Norwood Grand Final deter any significant number of people from going?

This is completely differant subject but.........
why do they play the S.A.N.F.L Grand Final at 3.10 with a yellow ball
when most of the other games are played with a red ball at 2.10

It's a question I have been asking for years. It is just ridiculous to be sitting around until 3.10pm on a Sunday, waiting for our Grand Final to start, 8 days after the AFL season is over. I'll never understand why.
WAFL have it right, they're already into the finals, a top 4, and finish up a week before the AFL Grand Final.

Yes, definitely. I dread clashes between our two teams with both trying to lock each other down. It's horrible stuff. I can only imagine what people who don't follow either side would think. Although, not having Central there for the first time since 1999 may create a novelty factor.

Re: SANFL FINALS
Well, the final 5 is:
1 Norwood
2 Central District
3 West Adelaide
4 North Adelaide
5 W-WT Eagles
Westies virtually played Eagles into the finals, it MAY come back to haunt them. Only time will tell.

They didn't actually, Glenelg lost, so West would have to have won by heaps to change things.

Yes they helped eagles into the 5 and i reckon WWT will beat WA in a 1st semi if those 2 play

Would make for an interesting contest if they do meet up this series.Harpo wrote:Adelaide Hawk wrote:Well, the final 5 is:

Arguably the League's most closely matched opponents, two sides that have had very similar records this year after the Eagles' horrid first four matches.

Given that the Eagles kicked 7 goals 10 behind West would have had to have beaten Eagles by 34 points for Glenelg to have made the five.
