Hopefully playing on the Unley Oval may be a better experience this season.
The ground is having a major drainage upgrade and oval re-surfacing.

If Snelling maintains his current form, I wonder if a team like Adelaide might look at him for the mid season draft.

He had a cracker last Saturday.
Yes these guys are unfortunately in the AFL sights when they kick on.
Patrick Wilson was one of those. Not sure if pre-season or mid-season draft.
But he got to Adelaide on his form during the '16 season.
How old is he?

He played fairly well yesterday but I doubt that he is still up to AFL standard. Don't get me wrong, he is still a good footballer but his type are a dime a dozen on AFL lists and generally they are playing in the SANFL, VFL or WAFL with only the occasional call up to the AFL.Flag No.10 wrote:If Snelling maintains his current form, I wonder if a team like Adelaide might look at him for the mid season draft.
He was just about a regular for Essendon, but I think his AFL days are over.
He got best player in the Mail for Sturt but I thought that both Campbell Combe and Harrison Wigg shaded him as midfielders.
Off topic, wrong forum, completely different type of player, but I would think the Crows could do worse than take a punt on young Weckert from the Eagles in the mid season draft.

You're probably right RR but he's never had a real crack in the midfield at AFL level, Essendon made him play that horrible defensive forward role. He's very good at winning the footy as a mid and maybe someone who needs some cover for the rest of the year might be interested.
