We've certainly addressed our deficiencies from last year... if the preseason and Mid season drafts leave us alone and everyone stays fit- (for a change!) we should be in the hunt....

What has happened at South? I thought they were a good bet to be top 3 and give the flag a shake this year. Given some of their quality recruiting, South fans must be shattered.

Dan Menzels’ power rankings have South bottom…..I wonder if South uses this as extra motivation, is it right South has played 7 home games already?

Saturday was there 7th home game, but they only have 9 home games. They played the Crows at Adelaide Oval.
They have been very disappointing this year given their list, but I wonder how players like Gibbs and Broadbent feel about playing in front of 815 people. It is the smallest crowd that I have ever seen at a league match. Sure the weather was bad and the forecast even worse but the South move to Noarlunga all those years ago was supposed to generate a following for South in the south. It just hasn't happened.
Also South, at least on Saturday, seemed to lack players "in their prime". They had 5 players 30 or over compared with North having 2, yet because of the youth in the South side they had a slightly younger overall average age.
