I am confused. I was told of the prospective AFL job by a well known Eagles supporter yesterday. I thought that there was no harm in posting what I had been told. I then read the Advertiser and was going to post what was said, but you beat me to the punch.
I have just checked again with my Eagles friend who is adamant that Jade is off to the AFL.
Time will tell, but it doesn't diminish his record as a dual premiership coach.

Just goes to show what jumping the gun with dubious rumours can get egg on the face for you.

Well according to Jade himself on SEN this afternoon, he feels burnt out & doesn’t think he can do the job justice & run his own business along with spending time with his family…..

Jimmy Tompous just announced his retirement from the Eagles

Brodie Edwards (son of) has been given the dcm at Glenelg because of a lack of opportunities, anyway the lad is eyeing on a move to the Eagles, not sure exactly why but presumably he has mates or contacts there

I spoke to a person not an eagles person with a great deal of knowledge. Seems this player if he does come to the Eagles will be his third club . Reportedly from this person he’s left west and now Glenelg blaming everyone else except himself . Now that’s not coming from me I have no clue about him .
But sounds a bit like an ex eagles player son of a former crows star couldn’t make it at the eagles played a couple of league game’s transferred to Glenelg played a couple of league games might have won seconds best and fairest ( not sure about that )

Yeah my footy source I’ve been told elsewhere may have gotten 2 Glenelg players mixed up no offence meant to the players

Eagles have signed Jack boyd tall vfl forward

The Woodville West Torrens Football Club will welcome home Eagles junior Nathan Barkla for season 2024.

19 year old Barkla was a member of our 2021 U18s Premiership team, and through Port Adelaide's Next Generation Academy was selected as a Category B rookie at the 2022 Rookie Draft - going on to play 18 League SANFL games for Port.

We look forward to the midfielder/defender having a big impact for the Eagles in 2024.
