Round 8: Port v West - Saturday 2.10pm at Alberton
Port always hard to beat at home but will West find the motivation to spring the upset?

It pains me to say Westies are fielding one of the less talented sides these past few years that I've seen.
Too few are having to do the heavy lifting and even those players aren't in the top echelon in the SANFL, with one or two exceptions perhaps.
Interesting that Simon Wong kicked 3 goals last week. He couldn't get a game for Westies and has been around for a while.
I hope the Bloods can rise and be competitive, but it's dark days.

I love my club too, that's why I want change. Who is it constantly saying they have had enough and have better things to do!!

At least I still go
The club is bigger than the individual
Only people missing out are those that hold a grudge
Time to get over it

Mate, there must be a LOT of people holding a grudge, look at the crowds! You alluded to that only a few days ago, yourself. I want to see Westies succeed, we all do, I just can't see it happening under the current structure. And I can eat humble pie if I'm wrong, I hope I am.

I wonder what your opinion would be if we still had the same structure we had
We had people in position that should not have been there because they we not doing there job
And because of that the club Is a long way behind
The club is now heading in the right direction it will take time
Plus I'm I am allowed to have an opinion because I go every week and what I post is out of frustration and spur of the moment which I am allowed to do

That's fine, none of it is about us. (I think the previous structure was heading in the right direction as a direct comparison of the actual results might indicate). It's a public forum, everyone can have an opinion......

The previous structure could have worked if they had the right people in position
But they had people not doing there job
That is why our recruiting has been poor
There are always two sides of a story and I am very close to the club as you know
End of rant

The structure was changed 3 seasons ago and we've had 2 wooden spoons and we're currently bottom again.
I don't think our recruiting has improved much. Hopefully it will.
Time to get over dislike of an employee who hasn't been there for some time, but was recruiting in 2015.
As for turning up, only 1250 turned up last week, so a lot of fans are voting with their feet.
One of the reasons we're unsuccessful is the personal vendettas that overtake the greater good.
We keep shooting ourselves in the foot, so time to look forward but be realistic about where we are.
Fans not turning up to watch us being thrashed is where we are and it's no use sugar-coating it.
Support now is vital.
Without being united, we risk not having a credible club.

EVERY club attendances drop when teams are struggling
i'll say this if you can't jump back up the ladder in 2 or 3 years with Brad Gotch there, then it'll be a long time before you do.....& the premierships of Norwood, Sturt & Glenelg over the last decade or so shows that teams can & do rise up the ladder fairly quickly these days when the OFF FIELD is stable
