The academy team has been shoved where it ought to be. Talking to an informed person yesterday they said they WILL play for the Magpies in their league team although they will NOT be up to that standard.

I don't think Central's recruited players were surprises, as such.Premiers wrote:Eagles have got through the draft so far without any nasty surprises (unlike those of Centrals and South).
The young kids in Hately, McLennan and Neitschke were always going to be picked up.
With the form of Darcy Fort, the interest shown by multiple clubs and the invite to state combine it was no surprise for him, either.
Certainly would categorise the selecting of Keegan Brooksby as a nasty surprise for the Panthers. He'll likely play a lot of WAFL footy.

As a side note will Nason and Hannath leaving central's and heading to the Eagles .
Assuming they make the league team will this hurt central's ?

Your high opinion of Ben Nason's football talent is intriguing.

Hannath should be a handy acquisition for the Eags though

Read my second sentence Premiers . Which says assuming they play league.
You have to read the entire post before having a dig
Now from what I've read on forums and sanfl Facebook pages . Nason is an outside player.
I'll will assume he has some pace .
And I have listened to the Eagles New coach in two interviews online .
He wants every line to have pace or be fast .
Now I know nothing .
I've watched the Eagles every game for years.
Eagles have lacked pace.
Eagles have lost outside players.
Eagles once the finals since 2011 lost that killer instinct. Which non Eagles fans have posted on this forum .
But reading other fans comments Eagle's are easy beats gets to me and other fans .

Believe Hannath has a job interview in Melbourne, might not be playing for either Centrals or the Eagles.

The magpies did their bastard act and got Cam Sutcliffe as their marquee player also has a job in their football dept.

Malcolm Karpanny coming to Adelaide will be interviewed by Eagles, South and Glenelg, maybe best offer gets him.

Another Eagles football friend confirmed that as well .
A few players I won't mention until it comes from the club .
Except PuP , Lewis and Nason all at training tonight .

Why wouldn't you mention this. He has been delisted from West Coast, is a former Eagles player and would be sought after by other clubs because he's from SA. Don't understand your reasoning.

Discretion is the better part of valour .
Sometimes you don't want the other teams fans to know everything
And you didn't mention a former AFL player intials JF who if rumours are correct would be third generation to play for Torrens and Eagles .
But I guess it's a rumour of us and South talking to him

Cut out the riddles, Mickyj. We're too old for games!
With the greatest respect, the old cliche "put up or shut up".
"Not happy, Jan" after not securing our No.1 target Cam Sutcliffe, a massive disappointment. We again look to be fielding the shortest team in the league

I'm just posting what was said on the Eagles nest forum
I was not going to say a word but seeing feathers raised why not mention so I did
Id prefer to wait on the club
Otherwise go to the Eagles nest and read for yourself

I think you are using the quotation "discretion is the better part of valour" out of context. Valour has to do with personal courage. What's courageous about not mentioning a football rumour or fact. Don't lessen the meaning of valour.
It isn't a rumour that the Eagles and South will be talking to Karpanny. All SANFL clubs would not be doing their due diligence if they didn't know who had been delisted and were available to be approached. Rumours and facts are generally intermingled at this time of the year, it's good reading.
By not letting other club's supporters know about rumours and facts about the Eagles, how many goals advantage do you think this give the Eagles for 2019!!!!!!!
With "JF" I was just throwing out some cryptic clues to see which smart supporters could come up with the correct answer. Just a little bit of fun and games.

I think you are way over the top
We Eagles fans hate losing Sutcliffe but AFL money and a job talks .
If you wish to tell the world I ain't stopping you
Imho I didn't say it out of context
There's another ex AFL player coming or rumour is hes coming neither of us has mentioned him in these two posts . But he has been talked about on this page already as may be coming .
