Rankine from West?
it doesn't matter who it is, it is wrong & especially wrong when we're in January, i'm convinced given who they've already rookie listed & without disrespecting them, that they (Port) are intending to win an sanfl premiership to appease the old time Port supporters......don't worry because as soon as the bookies go up i'll be launching into that
$11.00 centrebet & sportingbet...$10.00 on sportsbet & crownbet....i'm on

I've forgotten the actual names of the stands but is it the northern or the southern stand.
If it's the northern, that could be interesting as it's connected to the club rooms.
If it's the southern (I suspect it is given it's age), it's going to be an issue as they're the change rooms.
Interesting either way.

If it does get condemned, a quick solution will need to be found to create change rooms at the ground. I guess the cricket club could be used. Other than that, ATCO huts coming in perhaps (if the SANFL will allow that).
Plus the need to construct at least a visitors coaches box, and radio/umpires/timekeepers/stats areas in the southern stand (as only the Glenelg coaches box, and I think the TV spot, is currently in the southern stand).
In short, hopefully it won't be condemned.

''in short'' it has been
i'd suggest they'd use the cricket club & perhaps the opposition will use the school just like the umpires did a few years ago & perhaps the umpires would use one or the other of those two....no need to worry about the radio anymore as it hardly existed last season.....i'm sure they'll make a space for the umpires & the opposition coaches box at the back of the stand near where they are

oh, didn't know that sorry, perhaps we can borrow one of the two scoreboards not in use at Richmond & put it in a better vantage point for those with a blocked view

i was thinking it would be gifted, after all we were combined during world war two, as for what we can afford well we can't afford nails as you've seen with the roof blowing off the grandstand & found out blu-tack isn't strong enough to hold

I was joking bayman, and sorry for the damage that was done during that storm.
I have sat in that grandstand for many years now doing the stats for the bloods and will miss the crowd that sits near us during the game. I hope all gets sorted before the start of this season and maybe we can catch up at the game.

One of the pics I saw after the storm it looked like the only bit of roof that hadn't blown over was above the opposition stats bench and coaches box. Maybe all the tape from the cords over the years held it together

yep the club sent an email
here is the entire email
The Woodville West Torrens Football Club wishes to advise all it members, corporate partners, sponsors and supporters of the signing of players Jake Johansen and Jordan West and Assistant Coach Brian Haraida for the 2017 Season.
Jake, 20, after 53 plus SANFL League games and stints with Port Adelaide and Glenelg has decided to continue his career with our Club. Jake, a premier player at League level with great speed and skill, plays both midfield and forward and while small in stature, shows great tenacity for the contest. Jake is very excited and eager to immerse himself in the Eagles culture and continue his upward progression in his career.
Jordan, 23, a 203cm Ruck/Forward has signed with the Club from the St. George Dragons in the Sydney Premier League. Jordan, who spent time on the Swans Academy List and 3 years at Southern Oregon University playing basketball, is an athletic big man whose strength will be a key asset.
The Club is excited to have Jordan’s services and we look forward to him developing into a key component in our structure. Jordan is excited about the opportunity to play with the Eagles and is looking to have an impact on the club for many years.
Joining the Coaching group will be Brian Haraida to work with both the League and Reserves as an Assistant Coach. Brian, a 268 game, 3 time Premiership player and State representative with Central District (1990 – 2004) brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from both his football and business ventures. Brian is excited to be working with a talented player group and looking forward to helping the group continue to strive for success.
Ben Watkins, who has been a Senior Assistant for the past two seasons will take on the role as Head of Development. Part of this role will see Ben oversee the Reserves playing group, while continuing his role as Senior Assistant. The Club will look to add another assistant in the coming weeks once interviews have concluded.
Please join the Club in welcoming Jake, Jordan and Brian to the Woodville West Torrens Football Club
