That is my thoughts also.
The majority of their SANFL players are ordinary at best and would struggle to play ressies at some clubs. Most of their fringe AFL players are not crash hot either or kids who will be good in years to come but who will get monstered by the bigger bodies this year. A lot depends on injuries to the AFL side but I dont see them being as strong this year

Whilst the Magpies have lost some midfield grunt, the addition of Redden, the likely improvement from Harvey and the likelyhood of a fitter Butcher makes the side more potent, IMO. Clurey will hold the back half together with Krakouer.Colquhoun will be an important key to the midfield and back half, Ah Chee is bursting for an AFL gig and Impey will play more SANFL than AFL. Paul Stewart, Karl Amon and Aaron Young will be the first into the AFL side when injuries hit.

My tip - watch Billy Frampton come along. At 200cm and 92kg the "kid" looks ready for top level footy, unlike many first year recruits. I'm tipping this kid has something special. Dougal Howard is a cannon ball. He'll offer some highlights.

The loss of Newton will somewhat be covered by the full time inclusion of Logan. Although different players, it's a strong midfield body either way.

It's far too early for this, as I haven't seen any of the teams yet, so going just by lists (the relatively little I know of them anyway) and how I think wear and tear might affect clubs throughout the season ..
