We have a history of losing close matches at Alberton, both our losses last year were under a goal and sadly I see this continuing. The Power reserves to beat the Bays.

After going to the game last week, cant see us winning too many games this year so would mark this one down as a loss

i saw both these teams play last week & unfortunately i can not seeing us getting close to Port, Port played in one of the fastest, frenetic games i've seen in years, in fact one player that has been around a long time & has played AFL told a friend of mine it was the quickest SANFL match he's played in after i told him what i thought, the only way Glenelg can win is play wih the same ferocity & gang tackling as Norwood did & lift our skills to the same standard, however i can't see that happening for a whole game so sadly it is Port by well over 10 goals

Uncle Huey more or less says PR by a kick
Sapaul says PR 35 points
Bayman 10 goals + PR
Howthewestwaswon says 2-3 goals PR
Prowler says Pr by 5 goals
Add those up it adds up to about the 152 points PA won by

So I take it Glenelg will be looking for another new coach this week

Full time: Port 29.15 (189) defeat Glenelg 5.7 (37)
Margin 152 points
That has to hurt, it seems that the Crows reserves are playing poorly, yet the Magpies have hit their straps with this one and are playing really well after losing to Norwood in Round 1. Keep your eye on the Maggies I guess!
As for Glenelg, I would not rush out and push the panic buttons just yet. New senior coach and a group of lads learning his game plan. They always seem to play Panther Park pretty well, so we will see how we go on Good Friday!

Too early in the season to know what to make of that result. Except for the obvious. That it doesn't look good for Glenelg. How significant it is for Port, in the overall context of the competition, is hard to say. They were beaten by Norwood, who in turn were well beaten by Centrals. We always knew it was going to be an interesting season.

Cant say I enjoyed the game, looks as though winter will be good for surfing this year with the winter swell and right winds. Might come back to the SANFL when the SANFL fix up the mess they have made!!!!
