Sadly passed away 3/1/2014 less than one month away from what would have been her 99th birthday
Alicia was in the main cast of the movie Gone With The Wind [1939]
Remarkably its the only movie she acted in

OLIVIA DE HAVILLAND
Also starred in Gone With The Wind
She is still alive, she is 97 years old
Very good actress , played Errol Flynn's leading lady on many occasions

NICOLE KIDMAN

In the movie Grace Of Monaco
The movie is getting harsh reviews
The royals are very unhappy with the film content saying its a poor portrayal of Graces life

Has she hit rock botTOM with this film ?
Is it a panTOMine acting performance ?
Or is this criticism disGRACEful ?

Bad press = I want to see the film
If Kidman looks half as good as Grace it would be worth it

I think Kidman is a very good actress
One of Australia's best ever actresses in my opinion
She plays many roles very well
She is almost 6 foot tall , was 5 foot 9 when she was 13
And she remains a very very attractive woman into her 40's

She goes to great lengths at times , with a fake nose , to avoid the papparazzi
Is known to be conscious of skin cancers
Very often wears hats whenever she is out
I wonder if she wears tURBANs ?

Dangerous subject perhaps.
Grace is my all time best ever fave actress. A goddess if ever there was one.
Any diminution of that is akin to heresy in my view.

How does a 6 foot tall actress play a 5 foot 6 actress?

1954 - 1963 was perhaps Hitchy's golden era where he used his "favourites" and the leading ladies were all blonde. His faves were; Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, but also some others who he coudn't always secure.
I think he would have had Grace Kelly in every one of the movies in this period if he could.

Rear Window, To Catch a Thief and High Society were similar roles in Grace playing an Upper Class socialite. However, from different perspectives all of them.

However, I can't decide between To Catch a Thief and Rear Window as her best role.

I regard Rear Window as Hitchock's best work. To hold an audience from the view from 1 room for an entire movie was his masterful directing at its best. Grace positively smoulders in this. You feel a tingle in the loins and nobody gets even remotely close to naked in it. It is said that Jimmy Stewart is the only leading man she was never romantically linked to.
Foolish boy!

I wonder if the premise for the original Pink Panther was in some way framed around to Catch a Thief. Similar stories based around a cat burglar robbing high society parties complete with a masquerade/fancy dress party and fireworks.

Now this is was a very stunning woman
In he movie Promises Promises she is acknowledged as being the first nude actress in a motion picture

It ended to early for at 34 years of age, dying in a car accident
Three adults and 3 of Jaynes children were in the car accident that claimed her life
Remarkably the 3 adults died, the 3 kids lived on

One of those kids was a 3 and half year old who was sleeping in the back seat
That was Jaynes daughter Mariska Hargitay
Hargitay has since made a name for herself as an actress, probably best known as Olivia in the TV series Law And Order
