Sturt v Central at Unley, Saturday
Almost whatever way you look at this one, you finish up with a Central’s win. Too much knowhow, too any good players and a tried and tested game-plan.
Unley Oval is the only factor that might even this game up and it’s a real and important factor, but Central need the win to consolidate and Sturt might be facing a struggle here.

I saw Sturt 2 weeks ago against Norwood at Unley and they made no real attempt to win the game. I admit they were down on numbers but if they go in with a similar plan this week they have no hope of defeating Central.
Central by 30-40.

That will certainly help the Blues' cause. They missed those players last week, especially Crane and Duldig.

Duldig is an interesting case in point.
Half the Blues supporters I see post on DB.org want him gone, the other half espouse his benefit to the forward line.
For mine, he is very clever with the skills and agility that God, provided him.
Aka Read - he does have some negative attributes that he can't do much about. IE: A battleship has a given turning circle and cannot really improve it.
However, I think he does need to be at the goal front, with the right people feeding off his work. McIntyre being one of those. But it has to be said that both of these blokes need to lift their current work rate to be productive.

Duldig's an old fashioned full-forward. If you give him enough of the ball, he'll kick goals. Personally, I LIKE old fashioned full forwards

I grabbed a copy of 'Inside Football' today and read with interest in the SANFL section by Steve Barrett that Central's veteran Chris Gowans has a calf strain - from the win over North a fortnight ago - and that he is likley to miss the next couple of weeks for the Dogs.

Thanks to Central's sponsor SEW Eurodrive, below is a link to the Dogs side for the clash with the Double Blues:

There will be an extra in for Centrals with Henderson dropped from the Crows. If Sam Shaw has another good game for Adelaide Henderson may be spending a fair bit of time with Centrals.

Re: Sturt v Central at Unley, Saturday
Well they say the third quarter is the premiership quarter, and today was the classic example of this. The game was very tight for 3 quarters where very little difference between the sides. The third quarter made all the difference where Sturt just dominated, scoring 5 goals to 1 as Centrals crumbled under Sturt's pressure.
So once again Centrals struggle against a side many expected the win. I wonder if Centrals mental preparation when playing lowly sides needs to be questioned?
