Panthers storm into Preliminary Final

Pretty proud of the way the lads are going about it at the moment.
really looking forward to the game v Glenelg this friday night. I think if we continue to bring our best,-relentless pressure and deep forward entries being the key, we will take the game right up to the tiggers.
Wilkinson and Nobes were excellent yesterday, Fitt unusually quiet but some good mid field performances from Horne-Francis and Schwarz. Skinner dominant at Half Back.
South have not played in consecutive Preliminary finals since 1964-1965. We won the flag- our last in 1964- and we were robbed in the 1965 Prelim. when a kick after the final siren was shepherded through by the Port cheer squad who had invaded the ground. Souths last Grand final appearance was on a cold wet, windy day in 1979, when we had one less scoring shot than Port but lost by 31 pts..

I'm daring to dream.... even without Broadbent..

I liked O'Neil's(?) game, also Roberts.  As you say  Wilkinson was very good.

Skinner is a gun.

Horne has huge upside, currently makes mistakes  but that's OK  he takes the game on.

I think the Panthers have belief and I hope they go through. The bays have a strong marking component in defense . SA smalls need to keep the ground balls in play.

They looked pretty sharp.
When the Legs challenged they still withstood.
Should be a pretty good prelim.

Losing 2 in a row won't sit well in Tigerland.
They looked a bit insipid for a lot of the game last week.
Nearly pinched it, so I reckon the teeth will be visible on Friday night.

I think I would rather have seen the Bays and South in the GF.
Alas not to be.

I was there that day with a Norward mate. We were somewhere behind the southern goals. I heard some Sturt supporters behind us at 3/4 time saying they are leaving so that they get a good spot back at Unley for the celebrations. So funny a the time .

I may be singular in this but having called a lot of South this year - I reckon they will give this game a MIGHTY shake and Glenelg would not want to be off their guard at all.

There is virtually no expectation on the Panthers vs the 2021 benchmark who has lost their last two games suddenly.

I'm tipping the Panthers. They have their mojo back and are a v/good side.
