I'll put up $50 to any Digital Pass commentator who doesn't make some awful pun with their name.
I was about to say there is Mutch to like about having these two boys in the SANFL
What I should have said is I demand $50 from any Digital Pass commentator who makes an awful pun with their name.

Happy with light and shade, BP.
Clever puns are wonderful, obvious ones are the bottom of a commentator's barrel.
Saying 'there is Much to like' when talking about Mutch fits the latter, IMO.
I'll look forward to something better

This guy can play and will be a good get for the Eagles.
Adds to their already impressive big man stocks, although slightly depleted with N.Hayes heading to VIC now.

I thought our big man stocks were rather thin, especially when we have to play a 6'1'' defender (L. Jones) on 6'7" Liam McBean. The Eagles really need to stock up on talls. Mills seems to be a good acquisition. I notice he also plays a bit of ruck, might do a bit of rucking in the defensive area.

Mickyj....do you listen to closed doors to get all the scoops on Eagles recruits? And will this newest be someone that J Hayes can play "kick to" like he did with N Hayes?

Nope I’m just on the eagles Facebook page
On the eagles nest forum someone’s posted who the 6 th recruit could be from a newspaper report from the country I think .

Don’t forget most of the Eagles recruits for 2020 didn’t come due to the pandemic.Flag No.10 wrote:Don't know that I can remember a Premier recruiting so heavily.
And a great deal of the eagles younger players will or should be drafted
Sometimes it’s better to be proactive than reactive

You've still got to fit them all under the halved salary cap though. And the young players who will be drafted will not free up much space in the salary cap.

That’s beyond my knowledge but if the Eagles don’t recruit the type of player they need or don’t recruit they go from top to bottom very fast .

West Torrens/Woodville/Eagles has never won back to back premierships or had a dynasty and when they try to do something about it they get criticised.
With play for no pay last season a lot of players learnt how to work at a job and also play football. The halving of the salary cap will give players some income but the ability to work and earn an income will be major. I noticed a couple of the Eagles recruits had very portable qualifications so the football income would not be of a major concern.
Recommendations from previous recruits have been very important to getting our latest recruits.
Jesse Lonergan and Clay Cameron started at the Gold Coast Suns on the same day.

I've read up on him looks very exciting, very athletic, good kick for goal and a high leaper. Good move to get him, looking towards the future.
Draft Central has an excellent write up on him.

Sharman should also benefit from VB and Jack Hayes doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

I was looking at V.B being played in the back lines, I think he looks more comfortable back there. V.B. struggled up forward in the second half of the season. Clay Cameron was recruited as a marking forward and appears pretty experienced. I would see our taller forwards as J. Hayes, Cameron and Sharman. Giuffreda might be lucky to get a spot next season.

I thought that about Giuffreda at the beginning of this season - but he was as good as ever in the end and kept us in it in the 1st quarter of the GF. I won't doubt him again!
VB was able to provide those contests. As long as we have enough big mobile targets up there to keep on attacking, that is key, along with midfield depth.
