Black Caviar
It has been confirmed that champion mare Black Caviar will race in Adelaide on the 28th of April.
A masssive crowd is expected to front up at Morphetville Racecourse for the chance in a lifetime opportunity to see the worlds best thoroughbred sprinter.

Re: Black Caviar
apparently she could be here for two races, well i'll go down for the 28th as Glenelg aren't playing that day, still don't think she's as good as Manikato or Vain was
great news for South Australian racing & sport in general, well done to those who helped make it happen

Yes JT, but if she races twice here the other date is May 15th, we play Norwood the night before, so if all goes to plan I will get along that day.

Sorry to all race fans but I made a boo boo. Black Caviar has been confirmed to race in the group 1 Goodwood on May 12 with the race on the 28th April still an option for her racing resumption.

Yes I was going to mention the day Tulloch raced in Adelaide at Cheltenham, 35,000 turned up to see one of the greatest thoroughbreds this country has seen.

Have people pre-purchased tickets?
How confusing is it to do that through the SAJC website?

I haven'y but about 25,000 have so far going by today's paper.
What is confusing ?
I am thinking of going to the second race in a couple of weeks if it goes ahead, the only thing worrying me is having so many people at the track (35,000) may pose a problem of seeing anything unless in the grandstand.

The confusing thing is the way in which you have to get to the area to purchase tickets

Too right I will.
Has anyone seen the win by Frankel the other day.
It's rated the best horse in Timeform's history.
Amazing win.

nope, i'll tune into skyracing as they broadcast all racing every day & night of the year
i believe the actual race start is 12.20am (sunday) although in England they tend to run late
btw listening to a BBC race caller on 5AN this morning he said the only two possible hopes of beating her was Society Rock & Moonlight Cloud...he mentioned that Baited Breath is unlikely to run
