Sturt by 4 goals, been very impressive so far. Mattner has them humming along nicely

NA 10-8 [68]
ST 13-10 [88]
Good game
Both sides put in , ST took all day to finish NA off
Bruce Winter, Bayman and Heath Younie were spotted at the ground today to see Sturt win a match they might easily have lost at times
ST have had to come from behind a few times this season , which is impressive
Ive not seen much of Josh Hone , he impressed today
Jordie Mckenzie is a very good player
Alex Spina played well today , a terrific player
ST might even be Minor premiers in 2016
They look the real deal at the minute
NA can still pinch a finals spot
NA were good enough for long enough today

Top at this stage is way beyond our wildest expectations. All credit to the players and senior coach. But there's a long way to go, and I'm still looking at a 2 year program. As are the board and coaches. Obviously we'll just keep riding it week by week and see how far we can take it. We don't have much experienced depth, though some very good young talent in reserve. It's a fickle game.

i thought MacMahon was the player that kept Sturt in the game in the first half & to win the game was moved up forward in the second half

The first half seemed to be Spina and McMahon almost playing kick to kick as the two dominant two players on the ground. When McMahon went up forward he continued to dominate but Spina dropped right out of the game.
North are a crumbing forward and a key defender away from being a good side but they are better than I feared they would be. Sturt are the best side I have seen this year which seems a silly statement after what Central did to North at the start of the year, but Central played against witches hats that day. A lesser side than Sturt would have been blown away early by North today.
I didn't think that North took enough advantage from James Craig's ruck dominance.
