Thanks Jimmy,
Class, professionalism, skill, friendship and just a great bloke and a great footballer.
PS: It's pronounced Eezard, not Ezzard.

At his peak, he was a very good footballer for the West Adelide FC. Well done to James and good luck to him in retirement...

Club veteran James Ezard has decided to hang up his boots due to a reoccurring shoulder injury that has prevented him from returning to form throughout the 2015 season.
The Victorian-born midfielder and Magarey Medallist, who has played 156 League games here at the club will play his last game wearing the red and black guernsey this Saturday for the West Adelaide Reserves. The game starts at 11:25am.
Jimmy came to the club after being picked up by Port Adelaide in the 2004 AFL Draft, where injuries yet again held him back from securing a spot in the senior side. He played four games in the AFL side before settling in the SANFL and making West Adelaide his home.
Jimmy is a hugely respected leader both on and off the field here at the Bloods, and epitomizes what it means to be a professional athlete and team player.
We thank you Jimmy for all you have contributed to the club, and hope you all the best for the future.

Feels like forever since Ive seen this lad play, his shocking run with injury sadly curtailing some serious talent. Massive respect for finding a home at a SANFL club when that wasn't his reason for coming across. Wish him all the best for the future.

Well played Jimmy, a classy player when he was going. It is a pity that injuries have robbed him of a longr carer

A sad way for James Ezard to play his last game for West Adelaide in the Reserves, he does not really deserve that. It shows what a very good club man he is, not wanting to put his team in jeopardy of the double chance by playing injured. Not to many put the team in front of them selves.

A great career from a great person. Always had time for a chat. Hopefully he stays around the club in some capacity but can see him having a run around at Goodwood Saints first.

Jimmy chased down a player in the dying stages of the reserves today and showed why he is a champion of our club. Magarey medal winner and a player that always lead by example even in today his last game for the ressies. Will always be one of my favourite westies players. An even better accolade than being such a great club man is that Jimmy is just one of those exceptional young men that make football clubs all the better for their being a part of them. Champion bloke!

15 One-percenters and a genuine 3rd best with a bung shoulder.
Jimmy was given a great send-off at the club.
Thanks, Jimmy, a true champion.

His shoulders are not great - was the last home game.... 2s are not playing finals - Probably a fair decision and one all the players understood when he spoke to them
