Good luck explaining to an excited player who's been given a taste at an AFL club that he's not allowed to go.
Plenty of downside in that.
read carefully my friend, i said ''generally speaking''

generally speaking we hear all talk but when it comes time for the crunch our clubs bend over like Jenna Jameson
You see, unlike the average fan, clubs are not quite as selfish and take the view that the player they care immensely for has an opportunity to better themselves, make a move into a position that could set them and their families up for life, and they have no issues with players seeking this opportunity out. They encourage it. Club management around the league obviously see the bigger picture, not just round 1.

you MISS THE BLOODY POINT Mr. Booney...my point is GENERALLY our clubs bend over for most causes & in this case the amount of disrespect Essendon showed the SANFL CLUBS in question was nothing short of disgraceful, (i believe an apology occured) had the clubs been approached out of COURTESY & RESPECT then i wouldn't have a problem with it apart from i hope insurances would be paid by Essendon/AFL & be on the same level as all players playing in the same mickey mouse competition

Re: Your players in AFL NAB Cup?
I think we are all thinking about the same.
Any SANFL player who gets the chance to play in the AFL should grasp the chance with both hands and should be unhindered by their clubs.
Maybe The Bombers could have gone about it a bit differently but I figure they are just a bit desperate at the minute to get through the preseason comp. and didnt want to get caught up crapping on with SANFL club bureaucrats who want to get as much out of it as they can.
BTW: Great to see your Jenna Jameson comment went through unedited Bayman!!! Seems mentioning an Ex Bays coach in this forum is seen as worse than mentioning an Ex Porn Actress!!!

re ''unedited''
one is legal, the other was an unintentional slur on another (third) person

Well, your BLOODY point was the clubs here bend over, in this instance they didn't because they didn't know the players had been approached.
So the clubs did nothing wrong, so why **** can someone for the sake of doing it when they did nothing BLOODY wrong?
Negative attitudes to all things SANFL are more out of control than a wild fire.
