West AGM

West's AGM was held tonight and I think most people were expecting some fureworks, given the problems of the year just past. It seemed that might be the case early, but there was relatively little angst as it turned out.

The things of main interest seemed to be that all monies had been recovered and the matter had been reported to the police.

The revelation that the President and a Board Member had lent the Club $250,000 to help keep it afloat took away a lot of the earlier criticism of the Board.

Mark Mickan gave details of recruits, playing style & the pre-season.

Paul Sperling, Kerry Carn & Bob Manning were awarded Life Membership, while Mark Beswick, a contributor to TFSA, was added to the Board, along with Steve Georganas, who will also be a great addition to the Board.

I think Kirsten Demetriou was also added to the Board, Thiele.

Needs a bit of proof reading. Apart from the grammatical errors, which we can all make, it's Fireworks not fureworks.
