James Boyd
Reportedly leaving Central.
Where to?
It will be his 3rd club, would you take him?

My mail is Glenelg and I think its probably going to be a win win for both him and the GFC. I dont think its a good idea for him to come back to South, I think once you have left its done and dusted and you start over somewhere else if you want a second change.

Were there problems for him at Elizabeth ?
Very good player and I would have him unless there are some underlying problems that we are unaware of.

Re: James Boyd
The guy is a Magarey threat every year and has been for several years now. I dont know if there are off field issues, one can only guess that is the case. But if he is leaving the Ponderosa, on field he would be a great pick up for any club.

Re: James Boyd
Didn't like the way he left South and now he's gone from Central even though he gets a heap of the football.
Got to be something wrong with his character for that to happen twice so some teams will be tempted but is he worth it.
Not for me.

No he hasn't, yet. Nothing confirmed at this point, still just rumour and innuendo...Footy Lover wrote:...and now he's gone from Central

Until something official is released by the club, then it is all just hearsay, isn't it?

Keep this post in mind if you decide to post rumours about clubs other than Central.Big Phil wrote:Well, if they are just stories filtering out, ettg, and not facts, then it is inneundo, for the time being...eartotheground wrote:....is it, though? Your point is a reasonable one, Phil, but it needs to apply to all clubs in that case.

Rumor has been doing the rounds for a while this season, not happy for whatever reason and wants a transfer to the Bays.bayman wrote:while i found it hard to believe i actually heard this about half way through the year, from memory it was something to do with his brotherBen W wrote:My mail is Glenelg and I think its probably going to be a win win for both him and the GFC.

Central District stars' futures clouded
CENTRAL District coach Roy Laird is unsure if star midfielders Brayden O'Hara and James Boyd will be at the club next season.
O'Hara, 25, and Boyd, 24, have been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, which has suggested both may have played their last games for the Bulldogs.
Asked if he expected Boyd and O'Hara would be at Elizabeth in 2014, Laird said: "I'm not sure. I don't know either circumstance yet."
Laird said the club was "working through" options for three-time premiership player O'Hara, whose partner lives interstate.
"His girlfriend lives interstate and she's looking at coming back, it's a matter of trying to find employment.
"Nothing certain there at all yet.
"It depends on any job prospects for her."
Laird said Boyd, a premiership player in 2010, was meeting with the club on Friday to discuss his future.
"That's common practice to have meetings with a lot of our blokes.
"We'll be making calls on a number of players over the next few weeks but nothing sure yet."
It follows Laird last month saying the club needed a "significant" clean-out to climb the ladder.
As for recruits, he said the Bulldogs "haven't signed anyone but (were) speaking to a lot".

Could Boyd end up at The Parade to play under his former South skipper, now he has been appointed coach of the Redlegs?

Wouldn't think Boyd would be a good fit for Norwood's style of play, which I wouldn't think would change much.

agree, why would anyone change a winning game plan ? (perhaps evolve it a bit but not change it)redandblack wrote:Wouldn't think Boyd would be a good fit for Norwood's style of play, which I wouldn't think would change much.

if boyd does head out to the Cappucino canyon, he may not be the only ex South player heading that way to join Dugga.Scrunch wrote:NoBig Phil wrote:Could Boyd end up at The Parade to play under his former South skipper, now he has been appointed coach of the Redlegs?

Their recruiting is restricted, so it would have to be a 'prize' recruit or an ex-Norwood player.
Has Wundke signed with South yet?
