Dad not getting a foot infection treated soon enough and ending up in hospital as a result. At least he's got a cubicle to sleep in, and won't be in a corridor.

Worse: My sister turning it into a three act play.

Concerning: How easy it is to get patient information - with little more than 'my dad's in there, can I see him', I was allowed into the emergency department to see him. Given the Royal prank scandal, I was expecting a bit more grilling to get in.

1 private practice saying it had an ER which wont open till jan 14
2 they sent me to ashford who required $300 just to see a quack plus extra charges which i could claim back !!!

Vodafone - just called to disconnect my mobile broadband and had the pushiest of retention customers trying to sign me up on a new plan.

Eventually - after about 15 minutes, I got the thing canned.

I needed u bruce when i had epic problems with crazy johns !! My mobile went from 128 to 1700 bucks in 2 days !!!

When it comes to dealing with telco's, the three magic letters are TIO (Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman).

Most telcos instruct their staff that when customers start saying they'll go to the TIO to just give the customer what they want because telcos don't want the TIO charging them for complaints.

Was rather shocking went in on the sunday to pay the 128 they wouldnt take it due to me paying by direct debit . i showed them the txt then monday i was barred from my phone the bill had jumped with chargers up 1700.when the shop girl didnt understand the charges the indian from headoffice was quoting i knew something was rotten !!!

lol yeah cost me a more than the 128 less than the 1700 . i tried to sign up with someone else was at the same time way to much hassle so i upped my plan to cost me nothing to call or txt any network.
they sent me a letter valude customer upgrade your phone etc a month latter .Went back in we cant do that deal if you upgrade so i walked and bought a sony phone cheaper than the brand they were selling .
Now I call everyone on their mobiles lol

I can relate to that A Mum... i live opposite the Salisbury Downs primary school and going back a year, i heard what i thought was some one hammering nails into a fence, i thought it was a bit early for that, it was 6 am and the noise stopped about 5 minutes later. Not long after i saw a police car come around the corner and the cops went into the school. The hammering i heard was every window in the school being smashed with a hammer and 2 teenagers were caught.

Another time a few months later, i was see-ing my daughter off out the front of my house as she was going to QLD, again at 6am and there were a couple of kids on the school roof kicking in the air vents trying to get in.. of course i called the cops and they got them, 3 kids around 12 -13 years of age. What the hell are these kids doing wandering the streets at those times? Like you said A Mum, where are thier parents?

This to top of the last 2 months in which I've had about 5 colds and a dose of gastro.

I haven't put together 7 healthy days for a very very long time.

I don't know what's going on, I used to be one of the healthiest blokes going around. Went a couple years without a sick day at one point.

I'm going to have to have a serious look at things once I'm over this latest bout. Something ain't right.

Well ... found out yesterday that the main cause on an oil leak in my car was due to the oil pressure switch ... i couldn't for the life of me see where it was leaking from, there's so much crap in the way.
Now I can tell you one thing ... Ford was great designers for this 1996 EL ... why the hell they put a part like this right under the intake manifold ... and immediately above the coil/engine mount on the passenger side Grrrrrrrrrr.

Much swearing was involved in the replacement of this small part.


3 hours later it was replaced ... replacement part cost $14.
Just thought I'd share my pain today.

Losing my club singles match last night (lawn bowls).

Every year I front up hoping to achieve something good and every year I seem to get bundled out relatively cheaply.

Last night a bloke from our Divvy 4 side played some spectacular bowls and beat me fair and square in a real arm wrestle. I didn't play my best bowls by any stretch, but I was far from shabby. He was just too good.

The tough thing to swallow is that it's a knockout comp and now I have to wait another 12 months for another crack.

Shifting house - I forgot how YUK it was.

WHY do we always get 'international' stars/performers to entertain us duirng intervals of our sport during 'important' occaisions.

It's Australia Day - why do we have an 'international' act performing at 'half time' of the cricket - get an AUSTRALIAN act... pleeeease.

They do it for the AFL grandfinal as well - I want to see an Aussie band/performer at these events - not an international one.

Firstly it was deference to the mother country and now more notably to the great expanse of America and all things hip hop.

And it pains to say that on Australia Day when we celebrate he best of our nation.

as much as i like public holidays, to have the holiday not on the actual day is ludicrous, would the yanks 'celebrate' July 4 on the closet Monday to it ?
