Still a few pre-season rumours floating around. Is there any substance to them.

How about you tell me what these pre-season rumours are, and I'll tell you if there's any substance.

No problem, but rumours are just that. The often don't have substance.

However, to answer your question, ettg hinted that we may not have heard the last of the salary cap situation and we tend to agree.

That is just a rumour, though

It's not even a rumour. There is simply no foundation whatsoever. I've tried to tell you this, but as you would prefer to listen to rumour rather than people who actually know, there's not a lot I can do about it.

If it makes you feel better about your own club's situation, then believe what you like. I was hoping this forum was going to be above this kind of petty behaviour, but obviously not.

Like mentioned , its a rumour . I think the forum is well above standards of others . Loosen up mate. Surely by now you understand footy and forums are surrounded with rumour especially this time if the year.

I didn't say it was a rumour, I said it's not even that. It's just idle gossip amongst some people who just want to hear some bad news about Norwood. There's enough issues in footy to discuss without having people making stuff up.

If people want to discuss salary cap problems at Norwood, Geoff Baynes would love to hear from you.

These club threads are about gossip, rumour, speculation and throwing the line out so I think it is all fair game.

You can basically put your two penneth worth in and see how far it gets.

I personally don't think it lowers the standard of the forum.

Footy media and even the fringe of it, seems to have a habit of digging up stuff that more than occasionally rings true.

I agree, not everything you read is red and blue. Shades of grey are what prompt discussion, otherwise we'd all be silly enough to take what each of our clubs publicly state as gospel. Now that'd make it bloody boring IMO.

Well said Adelaide Hawk. You’re not the only one p!ssed off around here.

Many fair minded supporters feel extremely let down by a number of people and posts on here this year.
We really expected better. I'm afraid this forum lost a good deal of credibility for me with the ridiculous comments made after James Gallagher was ‘taken out’ illegally and deliberately.

Some other forums have pathetically laughable snipers but at least they don’t pretend to be saints.
From being an enthusiastic early supporter and promoter of this forum and its charter, I now only have a lukewarm interest in most football forums.

VERY disappointed.

Your complaints both relate to your team. It's a football forum, football forums are full of rumours. As for uyour other complaint, that also seems just a difference of posters' opinions.

However, if this rumour proves to be untrue, to placate your anger, the Forum can highlight the fact that it was wrong.

Same deal for you?

If posters feel so strongly about views being posted on forums, it seems a little bewildering that some of them post so enthusiastically elsewhere on forums that may have differing moderation standards and go along happily with some of those opposing views there.

The opening post introduces the idea of rumours/speculation. This time of year is all about rumours and speculation; who's going where, how good a player will X be etc. The facts are there are rumours about Norwood. I don't think posters here need to be told to shut up.

All clubs have a thread about rumours and discussion.
All clubs are allowed to be discussed on those threads.
All clubs have issues that concern them.

Its unclear exactly what you feel the issue currently is in that case. Discussion on all clubs has been welcomed and allowed.

I have previously made my concerns known by post and PM’s here and elsewhere and have no wish to waste my time again now.
When I see ‘Red’ or ‘CK’ at a game next year I’ll discuss my grievances with them, in person and in the depth they deserve.

I heard a rumour today that Norwood will be wearing pink guernseys for the whole 2013 season. I think the alternative is some sort of floral design?

IMO they'll look more like they're supposed to that way.
