There had been some whispers floating around in the rumour thread of late that there was an SANFL Media identity heading home for a work opportunity that has arisen interstate...

Confirmed in the Sunday Mail today that ABC TV, ABC Radio and 5RPH's Michael Maney has got the Sports reading gig with Southern Cross TV back in his home state of Tasmania...

Congratulations of the gig Michael and well done on your fantastic media career here in SA. I've always thought he is a very good caller and a really great bloke to chat with...

Michael's commentary is always accurate and not overstated, but still complementary to what we're watching.

A nice bloke, too and I'm sure he'll enjoy his future role in Tassie.

i don't know him personally but i agree he's a very good commenatator


speaking of commentators did i see one of todays commentators on the 'big screen' showing off his skills today, perhaps he was trying to get drafted !!
