Coopers Stadium is looking in great condition and I really love watching footy from this venue, it's wonderful.

I'd agree totally with that summary, i know Glenelg had a less experienced team out there but my main thoughts were that Norwood are very well drilled & have gelled well to the new coach, this was my big query pre season & i think they've passed that with flying colors, for Glenelg we have to be smarter around the packs, granted Snook & co will change that a bit but why i say that, it was all players in the vicinity of the ball would go in to help get the ball in the contest & no one stayed out when the ball came out it almost always went to one of the 3 or 4 Norwood players that were ''guarding'' around the pack.........i saw a Norwood player kick about a 20 metre short pass in defence early in the game & was called to play on & an hour or so later a 7 or 8 metre pass was paid however overall the umpiring was pretty good

BP was Norwood Oval looking great because they got it up to a standard for the womens' match or haven't they had baseball played on it ?

Good, even hitout. West were smashed in the hitouts, which made their effort much better, as they led by 14 points halfway through the last quarter.

Kaine Stevens has raised his game to another level and is now a genuine A Grader, all class.  Hugh Haysman was excellent again and his disposal was efficient.

Plenty of good players for West, with Schmidt, Porplyzia, Wilson, Caire and Webb to come in.  Keough only played a half and Zac Bates played Reserves.

West supporters can look forward to a better season and the teamwork and attitude was more like 2015 than 2016.

But, of course, it was a trial.

Not sure of the strength of Glenelg's team, but West had a heap out.
