And were South at (or close to) full strength? I know they had about 8 or 10 out last week?

how many times have i said that you should never worry about the scoreboard in trial games, in fact they probably shouldn't even record the scores..in trials all you want to see is slick skills, quick ball movement & a game plan (i'm hoping to see a game plan tomorrow)

Most coaches will try and adapt afl game plans this year to try and keep up with the reserves teams

Bloody amazing isnt it.

As soon as a lower club does well whether it be South, Sturt, Glenelg, even if it is a trial, the first thing that gets put to the front is, " We had half our team out"]. Just remember you still had a team on the ground and once you cross the white line it's game on.

I agree with r&b, they are only trials so dont look to deep into what ever you see in those games, these matches are only hit outs for the coaches to get a look at the new players to the club, to see if the player can play in various positions and try out game plans on what might work and what wont.

I remember a couple of years back, South won all their trials comfortably, gave us all a great deal of enthusiasm and excitement only to finish almost rock bottom.
