Words are cheap DT but my heart goes out to your brother and wife - I have been down this road in my life and it hurts to this day - best wishes to you all

18 years is a fair effort, is there a set years of service to qualify for life membership? I know our local club is 10 years for off field services

1. At West Adelaide for those other than player the minimum requirement is 15 years for consideration - Changes to the constitution now allows for persons who have split service to be considered unlike previously where someone could have twenty years service but due to missing two years in the middle (life circumstances?) were not eligible (unfairly) - top change.Change pending wrote:18 years is a fair effort, is there a set years of service to qualify for life membership? 2. The person then needs to be nominated by a member or identified by the Directors which allows consideration by the full board --
3. If the board considers that the nomination is suitable then the nomination is placed before the members at the AGM for their vote --
Once the nomination is supported by members then the person is formally welcomed as a Life Member by the President so members present can show their congratulations ---- Whilst they are effectively a Life Member at that time the formal presentation of Medallion & certificate takes place at the end of season presentation night.
I believe this is similar to other clubs but would be most interested to learn what other do.

Yahoo! Things are getting better as the day goes on. I won the meat tray at my local tonight.
A beautiful huge slab of beef and a couple of extra steaks. Wow they look juicy.
Best of all, I managed to hide the steaks before Fort Battle-Axe sniffed out and savaged the raw slab.

Finally got a decent amount of sleep, now watching all the old eps of Home and Away for the week. Gotta go across the road and vote at some stage though...

Southee, could you please let us know how the concert was, we were thinking of going but decided not to due to us buying tickets to a few other shows.
