Where does that leave him in the pecking order of Sturt club champions Chambo?

The Dogs held their Norm Russell Medal Dinner last night.
League 6th B&F: Luke Barmby (86 votes)
League 5th B&F: Josh Glenn (94 votes)
League 4th B&F: Darcy Fort (127 votes)
League 3rd B&F: Travis Schiller (156 votes)
League B&F R/Up: Justin Hoskin (169 votes)
League B&F Winner: Nick Holman (234 votes)
No surprise Nick won the Dogs B&F as he had a super consistent year.

Sturt's Facebook page mentioned Zane now joins the Jumbo Prince as the only Double Blues players to win 4 in a row.

Thanks Phil, bloody good effort. From all reports Zane is a top bloke, and hard not to like the way he goes about his footy, so well done to him.

7 for the Jumbo and 5 for Baggy.
I'd need to look back further for others.

4 each for Jade Sheedy and Jack Halbert. So Cap'n Kirk(y) is right up there.

I knew Jumbo was a star, but 7 BnF's at a club that was never short on stars is indeed remarkable. Only saw him regularly from about 82' onward, would love to have seen more of his career

Re: 2017 Best & Fairest Presentations
When I was a kid (teenager really) Jumbo was at the peak of his powers. A sight to behold in full swing.
Plumage out, chewy getting a pounding, the swagger and then a bit of footy amongst it all.
I am extremely biased of course, but Jumbo was and is my favourite player of all time. And having met him a few times more recently in more social environments, the legend only gets stronger and the stories more tall (at least in my mind).
For the B&Fs, between he and Baggy through the 70s and early 80s nobody else got a look in.

!2 Best and Fairests between two players is excellent, but what about the two great Torrens players, Bob Hank and Lindsay Head with 17 B & Fs between them, with 9 to Hank and 8 to Head. I think they are first and second overall in the SANFL for B and Fs. Barrie Robran won 7 (his first 7 seasons) prior to the terrible knee injury, Peter Darley also 7 and Russell Ebert and Michael Taylor 6 each.
It should be pointed out that other than Head and Darley for much of their career, the others all played in very good teams when they won their B and Fs which just gives more credence to their achievements.

Thanks for that RR, very interesting info. With two guns like Head and Hank it's hard to comprehend how Torrens didn't have more success.
Kingo Taylor is an interesting one - 6 x BnF's with his final one coming after a 4 year stint at Collingwood, 13 years after first winning the award. Think Jumbo lost a year or two to VFL footy aswell?
Robran and Darley are probably the two highest on my list of "Players I wish I'd seen"

Re: 2017 Best & Fairest Presentations
Torrens did have success in Hank's time. They won the flag twice, were runner up twice made the finals another 6 times and never finished lower than 5th. In Head's career they were competitve in his first 12 years but the wheels fell off then when the club ran into huge financial trouble from which they never recovered

Re: 2017 Best & Fairest Presentations
Was there any career overlap between Head and Hank? Maybe not much if so. With 9 B&Fs I guess it is easy to see why he was so highly rated by older observers and even over Head. Hank and Head were before my time. Head had just finished when I was old enough to follow footy.
I only saw Robran fleetingly before his injury and only the latter part of Darley when indeed he was the original "Jumbp Prince".
I guess it is fair to say Robran would have had another 3 or 4 B&Fs but for the injury.
Jumbo (Davies variety) was at Hawthorn in 1981.

Head and Hank played together for 6 years and played together in the 1953 premiership. That was Head's second season.
