2012 Best & Fairest Awards
Well done to the Best & Fairest winners announced in the other threads...
Ryan Ferguson at West and Ty Allen at Glenelg...
A few other clubs had their count last night, with the winners as follows...
James Bennett won North Adelaide's B&F...
Jeremy Clayton was awarded his 5th B&F award at the Port Magpies...
Angus Rowntree won the B&F for the Eagles...
Brett Zorzi won the Norwood B&F last night...
Nick Liddle claimed the Panthers B&F about a fortnight ago...
Central have their count next Saturday night I think the remaining clubs still have their presentations to come as well...

Re: 2012 Best & Fairest Awards
I didn't attend Norwood's B&F last night due to work committments, well done to Brett Zorzi for winning Norwood's award, he's my favourite Norwood player to watch, so I'm pleased with that.
Top 4 placegetters:
Zorzi
Terlich
Georgiou
Webber
Not sure where Cachia finished, and I've heard Batsanis didn't rate in the top 10. Even though it's hard to believe, I shouldn't be all that surprised based on comments I heard earlier in the season, and considering who gives the votes.

The Blues is next weekend I think.
Reckon Aidan Riley is the main contender.

Interesting to see that Richard Tambling won Sturt's B&F last night...

Re: 2012 Best & Fairest Awards
Central's League Best & Fairest count was tonight, with the top six winners, as follows:
6th Place - Paul Marschall
5th Place - Justin Hardy
4th Place - Ryan Williams
3rd Place - Trent Goodrem
Runner Up - James Boyd
Winner - Brad Symes
Congratulations to Brad Symes for claiming the 2012 Norm Russell Medallist in winning the League Best & Fairest.
Brad is currently overseas so the award was accepted by his Father on his behalf.
Jarrod Schiller won one of the highest honors within the CDFC playing group, claiming the Daniel Hulm Memorial Trophy.
Matthew Prior won the Reserves Best & Fairest.
Also, Chris and James Gowans gave a very entertaining retirement speech...

Re: 2012 Best & Fairest Awards
Sturt's B&F Results
TOP 10
Richard Tambling 177
Jade Sheedy 167
Ben Kane 128
Sam Kerridge 118
Aidan Riley 103
Angus Kurtze 98
Josh Jenkins 92
Joe Anderson 75
Tristan Gum 58
Brodie Martin 58
Tambling did have a very good year, which given his solitary game for the Crows, must show that he is out of favour at AAMI.
Maybe we will be without him next season.
Surprised that Riley was lower down than expected but he only played 13 games which probably didn't help his cause.

hypothetically had Ben Kane won would he have been the first player to win back to back Best & Fairest awards at rival clubs ?

Maybe, but I thought his form was better as the season progressed.
Snuck up on you a bit. I think a season in with this group he will be better placed next year for a more effective tilt at it.
