Basketball convert Tyler McPherson will make his Macca’s League debut for West Adelaide against Central on Saturday.
Measuring in at 200cm and 93kg, the 21-year-old has been thrust into the ruck to replace the injured Daniel Webb.
Originally from PHOS Camden, McPherson has been joined by Nick Favretto, John Noble, Ben Klemke and Jack Evans in the 23-man squad.
Former Geelong rookie Zac Bates has also been sidelined by a knee ailment while Izak Rankine accepted a one-match ban at the SANFL Tribunal.

It was a game you'd expect from the two worst sides in the SANFL - scrappy, clogged, not a great deal of skill, and one team hanging on for dear life once they got the lead.

The fact that neither side scored a goal in the last quarter was probably a good indication of the quality of this game. Yes, Centrals won, but they would not have silenced any critics with their performance.

We will take the win but it was a terrible game god knows what a rampaging Sturt will do to us next week.
