Foot E Times
What's happened to Foot E Times?
Is it still operating?

Re: Foot E Times
I tired the Foot E Times website, but instead of the site I got a message saying the website has been suspended.
The Facebook page does have a couple of updates on it

Re: Foot E Times
PhilH can probably shed more light on it than me, but I think it is being scaled back to basically Social Media only...
Those involved with it were not making any money out of it and had expenses to incur so am thinking it may not come back as a website...
I'll be speaking with PhilH in the next couple of of days, so will confirm this...

Re: Foot E Times
Thanks for the question Lee
In a nutshell it is a time thing.
I still think there is a need for a site like it, providing a centralised news point, a diverse range of independent opinions from people who passionately cover the game and detailed game previews / stats.
I was really, really pleased with our 2015 pre-season contribution, which for detail far exceeded anything else out there.
Going into the 2015 finals we had about 53,000 page views over the season, so there was the foundation of a following we could build on.
This generated without a huge amount of publicity.
I also think that given time enough financial support could be generated to ensure those who contribute were adequately rewarded.
However the reality is finding the time to invest in the site to get it to that level is not possible at this point.
I won't bore you all too much with why that is the case but most would know I have a part time finance job, a part time Eagles job, a Life FM commentary role, an Auskick role, weekly stats report for SANFL, baseball commentary in the summer, a family and Foot-e Times.
At this point Foot-e Times is the one that gets lowest priority.
At some future point some of those other roles my have gone and I can reinvest into it.
I have sent some options to FeT's contributors to consider.
Just posting randomly to our facebook and twitter pages as time allows is one of them.
Their reply will determine how we proceed.
Like RPH and my weekly SANFL stats report (no sure if SANFL wants it anymore) ... stay tuned.

This site would be happy to publish your weekly stats report, Phil.
(Or any game previews your crew would like to post).

Re: Foot E Times
Thanks Lee,
Appreciate the offer.
Right now I am literally up to my armpits in processing 3,500 Eagles Junior Members packs and in just 31 days I have have hopefully 5,000 coming to Woodville Oval for the Eagles big kids lighting carnival day & home opener against the Crows.
So much to do and clock is ticking.
If anything of a print media nature does come to fruition I will keep this in mind.
