Back in the day when Rick Davies and Russell Ebert were parading around (1970s), if memory serves it held about 16K for a Port - Sturt game.
I remember when the Blues went back to Unley (circa 2000) it was reported that it only held 5000-odd in its current layout. Since then the eastern wing and southern side of the ground has not been opened up.
I doubt it could be increased much without major alterations. And you would have some very vocal local residents raising hell about that.
Ah Davies and Ebert! I both their autograph's from after a state game here in 83

Looking forward to posting freely on this site. OzFooty was/is run by Swan Districts supporters so if anyone dared criticize Swans or expose the clubs numerous dodgy dealings (especially the clubs most recent bribe scandal with the Basso council) their comments were immediately deleted.

You mean we can have an open discussion about Swan Districts without a Swans biased admin immediately deleting posts they don't like?

Re: WAFL 2016
Well the idea here is that fair and reasonable discussion gets a go. If in doubt PM a MOD.
But abuse doesn't go down well.
But if you have an opinion on something then it generally gets an airing.
If something is a bit questionable, I am sure a MOD will contact you.
I doubt most of us have much idea about anything controversial in the WAFL, so it will be a revelation to learn.
Play on....

West Adelaide nearly recruited Marlon Pickett last year.
What can you tell us about him for last year and the future. Not his background, just his form and ability.

Don't take any notice of this Seagull clown Chambo, he has been making unfounded allegations on other sites recently and is just a troll. Legally it would be advised to shut him down before he gets started, that is what they had to do on the other sites. Some of his diatribe is slanderous. Just a heads up mate!

Has ability to burn mate, would have been a good get for the Bloods that's for sure. Mature aged but young enough to have immediate impact, skills are sublime too

Re: WAFL 2016
You see, this is what the Swan Districts mafia does, they launch personal attacks and try to discredit posters to try to stop the truth getting out. Swandog is one of them, please don't fall for his pressure tactics admin, they control Ozfooty and Lost WAFL don't allow any open and honest discussion.

WAFL fans are very welcome here and we're open to expanding space if it goes well.
So this is a great chance to start fresh. Personal attacks aren't welcome, whoever is making them.
Let's talk about the footy.

Thanks admin, swandog is a real worry, I made the mistake last year of mentioning that I'm a truckie and since then the personal attacks directed at my chosen profession have been coming thick and fast but it's useless complaining to admin because Swans supported are protected by the swans biased admin.

Absolutely, obviously nothing has been proven or disproven regarding Swans so I'll be careful not to post anything that could get this site in trouble.Admin wrote:Seagull, we strongly suggest you re-read our post and abide by it.

Back to the footy
Looks like big Subiaco recruit Sam Grimley is a chance to be signed as a top up player for the bombers, haven't heard anything is locked in yet though.

Re: WAFL 2016
How big a blow to the WAFL is the decision not to award the new stadium management rights to the WAFC? Looks dire from here.

Subiaco seem to have made a strong start to the WAFL season 4 wins and top of the ladder, South Fremantle also undefeated having played one less match.

Peel Thunder V West Perth
PT 1-1...1-2...1-3...1-5 [11]
WP 0-2..2-5...6-5...8-7 [55]
Not often you finish with 55 points in total and win 40+
Peel Thunder were 5th before this match , WP were 3rd

Sounds like interesting conditions? I see the rest of the matches were also reasonably low scoring.
