Well folks, it’s that time of year again. Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary !!!

Yep, I’d better make room in the dungeon for the same thoughtful anniversary gift my ‘priceless’ princess
gives me every year without fail …… another headstone. And every year I promise her, that from the bottom
of my heart, I can’t wait to use one! I’d love to find the person who invented anniversaries to thank him in person
and give him everything he deserves. Oh well, at least I was able to return old what’s her name’s kind expression
by giving her something that precisely captures her own true sweet soul …… a concrete elephant.

Oh, the memories. You know, the day we walked down that aisle only feels like 5 or 6 thousand years ago.
Well, ‘walked’ isn’t quite true, my indescribable bride had already slithered to the alter, I was still desperately kicking
and screaming as I fought against my chains on the electric winch she was winding in. I’m still proud of the smoke
I caused that motor. I can honestly say that I’ll never forget the look on her face for ‘that special day’, or the way
the light from the fullest of moons sparkled through her drool.

So my friends, it’s time to crank up the old gramophone and dust the cobwebs off my favourite piece of vinyl.
(sniff!) Oh God help me, I’m already starting to cry in anticipation! (blubber!) I’m sorry everyone ….. it’s just all the
emotion building up. I play this record every year at this time because nothing else helps me think of Fort Battle-Axe
and our wedding night like this one perfect song. It has truly come to symbolise not only our honeymoon, but each
and every day of our married life together.

A bit of a Finn fan R&B?

I am too, so much so that a couple of years ago when I was living in Adelaide, I hosted a Tim & Neil Finn Tribute night at the Grace Emily Hotel with my band and 7 other bands from around Australia. A great night, and certainly one of the biggest crowds I've played in front of - it was wall-to-wall, shoulder-to-shoulder full of people with many of them dancing and singing along. Terrific stuff. One of my proudest moments as a musician!

I'd like to restart my Finn tribute shows sometime in the future. Have to wait and see!

Same with me. Massive fan.....even went to where the brothers were born in NZ.
