That's a great win by the Redlegs. It was generally regarded that once they got they're best players, Glenelg were favourites. Here's hoping it's the first of several at the Parade in 2012 Smile

We’re not greedy ‘AH’, just 3 more will do this year.
Very Happy
Well done lads! Norwood and Glenelg.
There was plenty of talent on display and heaps of gutsy determination.
The Bays can be just as proud of their boys as we are of ours. Some very accomplished performers out there today.
From what I’ve seen in the U16 comp. this year, there is a lot to look forward to at every club in the league.

The only sad observation is that so few people attend the talent fest that is junior football. Dunno why.
U16 and U18 games are the best free entertainment going around I reckon. So if you’re a Dad with youngsters who
enjoy a kick during breaks, take them to the footy for free. Just watching these teenagers strut their stuff should
motivate another budding star to emulate them. Think of it as a high performance clinic that’s completely free.

I can't speak for others, but years ago I was a keen supporter of the U19s & U17s, attending as many as possible because I was keen to see how many players had the ability to filter through to the league, and if you saw someone with above average ability (McIntosh, Fosdike, etc), you would become very excited as you knew you had a 10 year player.

These days, if you see genuine talent, you know you may have him for the next season, then they will be lost to the AFL. James Aish being the classic example. I find it rather frustrating to even think about.
