Glenelg v Norwood Round 23, Fri Aug 31
Glenelg is on the edge of the finals cliff, needing every win they can get. Even if they lose, it's important they don't lose too heavily in case percentage decides 5th spot.
For Norwood it's their last official match for 3 weeks. Does that mean they'll go at it pretty hard? Would it make much difference 3 weeks later if they didn't? I don't think so, and I think that's the best hope the Bays have, along with the expected absences of Batsanis and Gallagher.

I'm going to back Glenelg at home for some bl**dy reason. Tigers by 12-23 points.

Batsanis is obviously a big loss to Norwood, joining several other important 'Legs players out with injury.
Their depth is still excellent, but the long list of losses through injury must be a major concern, especially as Batsanis is such an important run and carry player for them.
What would be Norwood's best side from the players likely to be available for the finals?
As for this week, I can't see Glenelg being able to crack open Norwood's press and game style.

All I'm hoping for is to get through the match with no further further addition to our injury list. That would make a welcome change.

you could always forfeit
on a serious note there are free tickets floating around Glenelg & at the oval, i presume they don't think the crowd will be great & are trying to boost it

With an injury list like theirs, IMO they could be excused for falling over at some point. I'm guessing most Redleg supporters would be hoping the dark patch is now, before the finals series, and regain some players for a tilt at the flag.
Of course, being an opposition supporter, I'm hoping they're our new 'Glenelg'...

Glenelg need to win to stay in 5 so i would say glenelg by 15 points , Norwood dont need any more injuries and dont have much at stake .

So glad the minor round is finally over. It may seem strange from a supporter of a club that won 18 from 20, but it's been a very long football season. The past 3-4 weeks have been so lacking in genuine interest due to sewing up the minor premiership so early.
Hopefully we can recharge the batteries, get some necessary players back into the team, and find an effective avenue to goal once more.

I know how you feel, AH.
Since West tied up 3rd spot, it's a strange feeling just playing out the last few games.
All credit to Norwood for only losing 2 games with such a big injury list.

Thanks to Simon Phillips for kicking that late goal for the Legs...
I tipped Norwood to win by 8 points in my FOOT-e TIMES SA preview
