James Allan reported
Reported early in the first quarter. Will be very interesting to see the outcome.

Re: James Allan reported
This leads me into an argument I've had for many years. If a player creates a misdemeanour in 1 match, why should this mean he is ineligible for an entire season? Surely he should be ineligible for votes in the match for which he was reported, and of course and matches he misses through suspension.
However, in every other game, that player is deemed to have been eligible to receive votes as the fairest and most brilliant player. To be ineligible for an entire year for 1 moment of weakness just seems far too harsh a penalty.
Situations such as the ineligibility of Peter Darley (1968), Stephen Kernahan (1983), and Garry McIntosh (1987) made a hollow mockery of the medal IMHO.
And I've always wondered about the scenario where an umpire reports a player (so he doesn't award him any votes as the fairest player), and then it is proven by the tribunal that the player did nothing wrong. He is still ineligle to win the medal, even though he did nothing wrong.
I've never really been entirely happy with the concept of a Magarey Medal.

Ryan Ferguson also cited for striking.
He's obviously got a thing about Norwood players.

Disappointing to think that one moment of reaction may cost James Allan the chance to rightly join the elite players of SANFL.

If he doesn't get a call-up to the Crows, I reckon Brad Symes would also be a chance now

Batsanis has had a good start to the season, but there would be a real chance that 6 different Norwood players have polled a B.O.G. so far.

Liddle is not on the Crows list....he was training with Port a bit last season.

He was talking about Symes being called up by the Crows, not Liddle.

I meant in terms of being able to join Russell Ebert as a four time Magarey Medallist.
Watching the game at ground level Saturday, that close to the play, was very interesting for seeing some of the treatment Allan was enduring.
