Sam Davidson Joins The Pack

West Adelaide Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Sam Davidson for the 2020 season.

Sam joined Port Adelaide as a Development player in 2018, after time spent with the Gold Coast FC Academy. A regular in Port Adelaide’s league team, Sam has played league 30 games including this years Grand Final. Playing predominantly across the half forward line, Sam possesses electrifying pace and uses this to great effect. Expect to see Sam, taking and breaking with the ball and hitting our forwards with fine skills.

Senior Coach, Gavin Colville said, “we were on the lookout for players with genuine pace and Sam certainly ticks this box. Also known for his professionalism and team first approach, I am confident he will be a great addition to our Club”.

Former Glenelg player Elliot Chalmers appears to be out doing a Pre Season with North Adelaide.

Roosters have also secured former Central Reserves coach and NT Thunder (NEAFL) senior coach Darren Reeves as their Seconds Coach.

Reeva will also be a part time Development Officer, taking over this role and the Reserves coaching from Jacob Surjan.

A good get for the Roosters and many Dogs players spoke highly of Darren, who forms strong relationships quickly.

Had he not got the NT Thunder job, that fell over after 1 year of a 2 year deal, he could have got the Dogs senior gig.

Central's loss is North Adelaide's gain.

I can't recall him playing seniors, if at all.
