A 'must win' for North, who meet a confident Glenelg.

Preview to follow.

The run out will have done North some good but you have to worry about the quality of our back lines. Going forward they can do some damage but it's no good kicking 16 goals in a game when the opposition kick 18.

Another goalfest with the team who is the most accurate running out winners

Hope it's the Roosters

Anyone’s guess here. If it was played at The Bay I’d go for the Tigers straight away.
I know I should go for the Roosters at home, but I’ll still take a punt on Glenelg in this one.

Round 3 - North and Glenelg at Prospect Empty Re: Round 3 - North and Glenelg at Prospect

Post by Mongrel Punter Tue Apr 03, 2012 5:20 pm

After having the riot act read to the players about their mental strength, the Roosters will be keen to atone for their poor last quarter against South. They won everywhere in the stats (60 more possessions) except for the scoreboard and the frees. The club's official please explain to the umpiring fraternity, and any response, will also be evaluated to see whether a more even tone has been adopted by the men in white. There are sure to be changes to the team with Boras a possible starter after 6-5 in the reserves, and it would be no surprise to see Blee having a run in the reserves, after a poor showing. The midfield still got plenty of the ball, and should be even more accountable and hungry against Glenelg. There were good signs from several reserves players in Amato, White, Davey and Clinch, who must all come into consideration. White, especially, provided plenty of running drive from the backlines. North's biggest problem seems to be their unforgiving ability to drop their bundle when decisions go against them, so coach Francou needs to implement some strategies to counter these recurring occurrences.
I think North will bounce back well in a high scoring game. After all, they will want to give the general (Jimmy Allan) a fond memory of his 100th game, and they have a point to prove.

Nice motivating post ‘MP’, maybe you should be addressing the Roosters before the game. Wink
Not only do I want to change my tip, I damn nearly want to run out for ‘em !
Don’t panic, I won’t. No sense in handicapping a team that much. Laughing

I'm happy for you to run out for 'em ... please do. Very Happy

Won't be enough though, Bays to get up in a close one ... I expect ... think ... hope. Round 3 - North and Glenelg at Prospect 262676546

‘Run’ may have been a tad optimistic. Please amend that to ‘stagger erratically to the bench’.
My game day preparation was always very similar to Grenville’s, but sadly, from that point on our talents
seriously diverge until post match festivities would again see us in perfect synchronicity.

Yes, his form last year seemed pretty good and you'd think he'd be in their best 21?

Is he underdone or carrying an injury?

There is a word in football these days called "structure". This means selection can cause any number of amazing surprises at any time as good players are omitted and ordinary players are selected. We do it at Norwood all the time. Pick your best team, Terlich would never make the side, but because of "structure" he continues to get a game.

He's playing in the 2's

Amato also dropped to the 2's to make room for Matty Wright, who is an inclusion today
