Re: How are Westies doing?
I get it. A lot of people object to the Crows and Port entering teams in the sanfl. Cant we just get over it??
I hate both the crows and the power and love following the sanfl but I figure bureaucrats made a decision that they won't repeal and we just need to learn to live it or it is going to detract from the great league which is the sanfl.
Well done to the bloods and thanks for the great effort. Can we just focus on the positives from last night please?

Re: How are Westies doing?
I dunno....calling the Crows ......"Cows" "Primadonnas"
Please don't get me wrong Testy. I am not coming to the defence of the AFL reserves sides I just want us Bloods supporters to just come to terms with them and celebrate our sides achievements when we have them.

they wear navy shorts at every game they play, it really is a bit rude when they are playing sides that have dark shorts as their home uniform
isn't it a sanfl tradition to supply the away team with ice etc ? i recall the crows being somewhat surprised when Glenelg offered them ice & other stuff they may need earlier in the year at the conclusion of the game

Each team takes it's own ice to away games, if they run short during a game then they usually ask the home team politely if they can spare some. In most cases they do, especially when the weather is still warm or during trial games when it's over 30 deg. You can never have enough ice on those days.

In Doug's day we used to give it to them via the showers.

Re: How are Westies doing?
Personally I agree that if there is a colour clash then the away team should change their shorts colours, how often do South Adelaide wear Navy Blue shorts in an away match at Richmond against Westies?
I will say however that I am not in favour of sides wearing white shorts if white is not a part of their team colours. The idea is to be in contrast, not to confuse both the spectators and the players. I would suggest that the Crows might be better off to wear yellow shorts as their away strip against other sides.
