Fun times ahead.
i feel fo you gn, i'd be getting on the front foot if i was you, otherwise she may 'win' & have you in strife, good luck with that
Trying too - but unfortunately when it comes to the crunch systems are set up to protect the employee, not the manager.
I'll just to keep my head down, document everything ..... or perhaps just find another job.
This is the best and only method. Be meticulous with your record keeping. Make a journal of conversations, when and where they took place, who ( if any ) was present etc etc.
If your staff member is absent for any reason, be very specific on when you were notified, how ( sms, email, phone call ) and the time of this notification. ( Typically less than 30 minutes prior to commencement time is acceptable )
The "medical duress" is one thing that cannot be disputed so be it either in her favor ( ie she has a certificate for restricted duties via Work Cover ) or in your favor ( she refuses to do something you have requested for medical reasons and cant substantiate the reasons with certificates ) then make sure this is all recorded.
Work Cover is a giant pain in the ****, but it is there to protect both parties. Use it and use your record keeping skills to support your stance.

Thanks mate.
The organisation is being very supportive, and I am supremely confident that my conduct has been fine and I can prove the fact - but it doesn't fix the fact that I am going to have to go through the process of managing this person and this situation.
This is the problem for me. I've got enough on my plate at the moment without having to deal with this random. I just can't be fugged.

Big? More like slightly larger.
Yes - in fact they specifically restructured the department and handed it to me for this very reason.
Just timing is the issue, fatigue has well and truly set in after 4 months of bubs #2. Got a week off camping after the long weekend though so hopefully that will freshen me up a bit in preparation for the task at hand!

800 police - 1 or 2 arrests.
Killed 18 year old was plotting against Mr Abbott - police now say not true.
Defence person wearing uniform attacked by me of 'MIddle Eastern appearance' - no charges, didn't happen.
Plans to behead people - only an interpretation of what might have been planned.
Assaults and attacks on Muslim Australians - True.
Massive changes to laws now restrict any reporting of 'security' matters - passed.
Some of our media will have blood on their hands with their headlines.

Yea when I had my 4 out it wasn't fun.
The only good thing about it was that it was an excuse to eat custard and ice cream all day every day for a week!
Paul's custard was a shining light in my darkest times! They used to have a gourmet variety that was super thick, I just sat on the couch smashing that!

Watching delayed telecasts of basketball on channel 10---Far to many replays of different parts of the game, by the time they get back to the game it has advanced and you have missed the next goal that has been scored, very frustrating.

The 'reimagined' Magic Cave. Ironic given their Christmas ad campaign is emotive and nostalgic, neither of which apply to the new cave

Re: What's Not
So now this POS admits it after all these denials?
Former MP Craig Thomson lied about using a union credit card to pay for prostitutes because he was ashamed, his barrister says.
Thomson publicly came under attack in 2012 for misusing union funds while national secretary of the Health Services Union. His barrister Greg James QC told an appeal hearing that Thomson was embarrassed by accusations that he’d spent the HSU members’ money on prostitutes and trips to brothels.
“To rebut that he lies,” Mr James told the Victorian County Court on Tuesday.
“He was under direct attack for moral turpitude.
“He was divorcing himself from moral turpitude.
“He was trying to divert the inquiry from himself for that moral turpitude.” Mr James said Thomson lied in a media interview in 2012 out of embarrassment, not because he believed he’d committed a crime. “That does not establish one way or another a lack of authority, or a belief of a lack of authority,” he said.
Thomson is appealing his conviction and 12 month jail term, with nine months suspended, for misusing $24,538 while head of the HSU.

Both programs suck. Sometimes I would rather just pay $100 and get it done professionally then spend 2 hours trying to get the program to work and sort out random error messages.

Parking in town for an appointment day
Used a car park for less than 3 hours
$20 was the fee
I think a street meter is just under $4 per hour
Is there anywhere near the Mall , where there are street parks for about 3 hours ?
Driving to town has now almost become a Whats Not option for me
Its a great pity, as I really enjoy town
