i wouldn't pay it either, it is a long way for them to come & get it, especially when you say you have no credit cards or cheque books etc

I have another daughter who lives on the Sunshine Coast and she will be confronting the council on this one. Very Happy

People sharing the unedited pic on Facebook of the Boston bombing victim being wheelchaired away with his leg half blown off. Even AdelaideNow has taken the decency to black out that gruesome detail of the pic.

Certainly brings home how horrible the bombing was, but it's an image best not shared IMO, and smacks of people seeking self-gratification by showing this gruesome pic.

It seems to be happening more and more on facebook. Graphic pictures of abuse to animals and children are also ones that do the rounds - most of the time they aren't even genuine, just scams to get people's details.

Well that was different, had it done today, only took less than a minute, no major problems but i feel iv'e been violated in some way. Smile

Out the corner of my eye , on my left hand side , I see a headlight
Instinctively I brake hard
The car flys through the intersection doing about 100km , and ran a very very blatant red light
Had I not applied the brakes, it would have been a certain collision

I commute along this Bridge Road stretch quite often
Between Mcintyre Road and Smith Road there are bad drivers often enough
The shanningans of the drivers is quite appalling at times
Ive not seen or heard of a radar along this strip , in several years

If the posts got personal again, then I get why it may have been deleted. However, if it was banter between opposing parties using media articles and what not, then what's the problem?

I agree, HTWWW, that was the original hope for it, but any reading of the thread shows it got personal and was also hijacked for a time by posters later banned and posters who aren't always what they claim to be.

As in how you continuously claimed to be correct, then were eventually proven 100% incorrect?

As far as I am concerned I don't think it was worthy of deletion. I also don't agree it got hijacked by anyone - was always politics related.

Standards of the site? There was nothing in the Politics thread that is worse than the SANFL or AFL threads.
