South Adelaide v Carlton trial match.

As a youngster I can recall watching a trial match played between South Adelaide and Carlton at "Panther Park", St Marys in the 1970s,I still have the programme for the day.

I was wondering if anyone can recall the final scores, scorers and best players??...I seem to recall South were beaten soundly but not disgraced by a powerful Carlton side of the day.

Probably the biggest crowd that ever went to a Panther Park game went to that game in March 1971 - Robert Walls played for Carlton in that game and was interviewed by M Rucci in the Advertiser in August 2011 and clearly remembered playing at Panther Park!
