Would have to say that, even by NAB Cup standards, Adelaide were just lazy in that game, and not even a Brenton Sanderson spray at half time appear to lift the side.
Would like to see a big improvement for the Port game.

Re: 2013 NAB Cup
Brodie Smith from Adelaide looks like he's broken his collar bone. Tough start to the season for the young fella.
Luckily for him time is still on his side with a month before the season proper starts, so he might only miss the first 3 or 4 rounds.
Hope he recovers well and is back in quickly, he's one player I can see taking things to another level this year.

It's incredible, yet not at all surprising, that most teams so far has only been able to win one contest in this format.
It shows how fresh you are after sitting out 2 quarters compared to having to play 4 quarters straight.

I think last year it was the opposite where the teams backing up won most games. Yesterdays games in that heat it wasnt that suprising that the "fresh" team won.

Playing in that heat was ridiculous yesterday. All preseason games should be night games IMO, as the odds are pretty good that in mid-Feb you're going to strike a couple of stinkers.

Good point GN - they'd probably get better crowds too.

Re: 2013 NAB Cup
football in any form should not be played in February, they only play it for money & advertising & it wouldn't surprise me if they have a 'night summer competition' over the Christmas/New Year break down the track.....just remember professional cricketers play over the same time period so it could happen.....footy used to start in April, then March & in recent years February so i can see the summer grand final being played on January 26 at night

The ticket prices are still ridiculously high for what are basically organised scratch matches. Crazy really.
