Melbourne Cup 2013

So who is going to win this years Melbourne Cup?

I love cup day - The only day of the year where I actually sit and look at the form guide and pick out winners in each race (yeah well that's the aim..lol) and watch them on Channel 7.

The thing I love the most though is the roar of the crowd when they open the gates for the big race.

Anyway - back to the question at hand - who will you be having in the Melbourne Cup this year?
Any rumours or tips out there?

Only ever picked a winner once, Subzero in 93.

2013 MC winner will be Fiorente.

I've done 5 of the races so far Mum, will do the rest tonight.

I keep looking at Fiorente, Fawkner, Saville and Dunaden in the big one with about 6 others....lol.

I'll post my bets for the card tomorrow.

Yeah I am not good at picking the actual Melbourne Cup winner either !!
But I did get a $200 quinella in one of the other races on the day 2 years ago.
That was pretty cool

I will post my selections in the morning for the day too.
 
I always pick them out and put them on, on the Monday night.
As I don't want to get caught in the mad rush on the Tuesday.
 
A Dad leaves it till the last minute - well I should say used to - as 2 years ago he missed out completely as I had put money into a Sportsbet account for him and it crashed on everyone!    Well I suppose at least he came out square...lol  
 
I wish it was a public holiday - rather have one for Melbourne Cup than Adelaide Cup that's for sure.
 
One of my favourite days of the year - Almost up there with AFL Grand Final day.

I must confess I dont study the form for the Melbourne Cup
Too many overseas horses in the race these days and too hard to evaluate form
The best I can do is post my selections at Globe Derby Park today , so we can build up a bank for Tuesday !

ok i'm not having a bet as such but a mate of mine (a professional punter) who lives in Melbourne was in Adelaide in September & i lent him my car & i refused to take any money off him for the use of the car so he ended up posting me some Caulfield Cup-Melbourne Cup doubles, well Fawkner arrived at Caulfield & i have these horses running
