Exodus
So many players leaving SANFL now.
What does the future hold?
Big worry, I think.

SPOT ON
i stated that when they brought the afl teams into the sanfl, the sanfl will evolve into an u/23 comp & probably get called aflsa by that stage
if i was a young (mid 20's) player & the afl dream was over & i didn't have any family or life contacts at the sanfl club i was at, i would take a higher pay packet with less commitment too
when they dropped the salary cap did they not realize this was more likely to happen than not happen ?

No, the SANFL have made some dreadful decisions about our competition and continue to do so.

You’d have more insight than me so I’ll ask these “dreadful decisions” are they made by the sanfl directly or does the sanfl get “ordered” to make these decisions by another competition?

They made the bad decisions, but the leaders of that are now gone.
They're also cowed by the AFL.
Their first priority was never the League competition.

It's more surprising and disappointing in South's case given how close they got this year to achieving something monumental for the club. As an outsider, you'd think many would want to hang around and see if they can go all the way.
